PB, 03 Jan 2023I updated (UI 5 I think) and now the phone wont restart, Ive tried to force a factory reset bu... moreYou have two options here, you can turn on developer options and enable usb debugging and use adb to restart your phone (google is your friend if you dont understand)
OR you can hold power and volume down for 20 seconds which will force a battery disconnect and restart the phone
Using those restart methods you can enter download mode (google again) and flash another ROM, whether it be android 12 downgrade or some custom rom. Make sure to backup your data if youre gonna flash a custom rom AND to unlock the bootloader

I've had it for over three years now. Was super happy with it for the first two years, now it's becoming really slow and laggy, and looking for a new phone.

Bibeesh , 06 Feb 2023Don't buy a 51 ...restart problm Very true. I wish i knew before buying the phone. My phone cant start again. Took it for repair and was told its a common problem and would change the motherboard i think. I had to dump the phone and have lost everything in there.
My advice for A51 users is to backup any important information you have so you dont loose them. Repairing the phone aint an option because its expensive

I will try to mention the procedures here. Read it carefully or search for tutorials on YT.
You must have a working PC to do that. IF you have one, then let's get started.
Firstly, Backing UP your DATA is a MUST as we are going to do a clean falsh. Do it carefully.
Secondly, Remove your Google and Samsung accounts. You must be connected to the Internet while removing the accounts. I guess you've done the two things mentioned above.
Lastly, Follow the instructions given bellow and proceed at your OWN RISK with CAUTIONS.
Go to Samfw(DOT)com > Enter your device' model number > Select it (from suggestions) > Select your region (CSC) > Scroll down to the specific update (You must be talking about updates pushed in 2019) > Select the oldest one in YOUR case > Start Downloading the desired firmware (Single zip) from there. I hope you can do that.
You have to download "ODIN" and "Samsung Mobile Drivers" (Google these) as well. Though SMD may not be needed, but it's better to have it installed on your PC. Download and install it.
Extract ODIN and FIRMWARE on a folder in your PC > Switch OFF the phone and enter into the "DOWNLOAD MODE" (search on YT) > Connect your phone to the PC (Through USB cable, rightly guessed) > Open ODIN with administrative rights > ODIN will detect your phone (Added) > Add first 4 files from the folder where you've extracted the firmware > Select 'CSC' instead of "HOME_CSC" for a clean flash! It's RECOMMENDED. > Click on 'START' and Have a cup of Coffee instead of waiting 😄 > You'll see "PASS" on ODIN > Disconnect the phone and Have another cup of Coffee, You can have Tea if you want 😆 > When the UI is shown, Complete setting up your phone.
DON'T update the device. If you do so, all the work you have done so far will be futile.
Never update the phone, NEVER!!

I can confidently say that it is the best among the phone... moreyou shouldnt turn on ram plus, it'll shorten the storage chip even more. or worst cases, can sacrifice your user experience. its not like that feature is gonna turn the a51 into s22 ultra...
