Why samsung always doesn't put 24-bit/192kHz audio to mid-range phone. Nowadays I see Oppo A9 series / Realme X50 / Realme 6 Pro use 24-bit/192kHz audio. It's very Important for better sound quality!!!

About time samsung brings in a powerful midranger. The A51 non 5g version by all means was a joke to samsung's once mighty midrange line up. This phone coupled with REAL UPGRADES people have been waiting for should be well received
The article reads that the mi 10 lite is available in the west as an alternative. In the US however, it is not. This is your only choice for cheaper 5g along with the A71 or velvet. So this is the least expensive option for 5G in the US. Sucks

johnsushi, 02 Jul 2020How do I know if my A51 supports 5G when it comes out?At first, let me clarify that "A51" and "A51 5G" are completely different models. If your A51 supports 5G connectivity, it should have a 5G branding just like this picture. https://fdn.gsmarena.com/imgroot/reviews/20/samsung-galaxy-a51-5g/lifestyle/-727w2/gsmarena_003.jpg

You prefer SD version. No problem. That's a safe choice. I'm not denying it.
But saying SD765 to be better straightly isn't right.
As both SD 765 and Exynos 980 are fabricated on Samsung tech. If we talk about samsung 8nm vs 7nm there isn't as difference as between A77 and A76 while A76 clocked at higher,
Exynos 9820 vs Exynos 9825 prove my claim. There is difference. But not as much as the clockspeed and Cortex core generation difference.
We can't clearly say which is gonna be more efficient. But logic says, Exynos 980 if the Mali GPU is efficient. Normally Mali flagship GPU is very efficient if it is used at low power.

Anyway, there are are multiple things at work here, including various on-chip optimizations, differences in how the different companies' UIs handle power management, etc.
Each with their own. If you preffer Exynos, no problem. I'm going to stick with the Snapdragon.
This phone has arrived like 10 days ago. Still no review is published.
Why , GSMARENA ?

It's using newer cortex A77 with lower clockspeed than SD 765.
That means less energy usage doing the same task.
Also powerful AI Engine is useless for midrange. Even all flagship doesn't use that much AI cpu.
Here important things are CPU, GPU, memory performance.
Am loving this phone. I have an S20 as well but actually prefer the A51 5g due to its bigger screen. Also, I can’t see any difference in performance in day to day tasks compared with the S20. I don’t game though so maybe that’s why. Battery life on this phone is excellent as is the camera.
I would thoroughly recommend it. The only downside is that you can’t buy many cases for it. I am using a Spigen Tough Armor designed for the A51. The A51 is fractionally longer and fatter. The case fits but slightly edges into the camera array. Not enough to block it though. Buttons work ok too.
It’s a fantastic phone though and very well built.
AnonD-754814, 28 Jun 2020Actually the Exynos 980 is better than SD765There are things which are better on one, some which are better than the other. The 765G has a superior AI engine, plus the energy efficiency. I don't know how well the 980 performs under sustained load (throttling), though.
Anyway, if all other phone specs (and price) would be identical, I'd get the 765G version, if possible.
