I have been using Samsung Galaxy A5'6 (2016) phone since 25/12/2015.
Purchased from Eros Digital Home in Dubai Mall.
I use this phone from December 2015 till now. And have no problem till last two weeks ago.
A5 2016 is awesome!
After 2 years of careful use, the screen has started to peel off! Little memory. The phone are to slow.
ALPHABOY17, 04 Mar 2021One of the best midrange phone samsung ever made. Not only the GG4 is godly scratch resistant ... moreGood point the battery of this phone was pretty good compared to aa 71 wich is a new smartphone
One of the best midrange phone samsung ever made. Not only the GG4 is godly scratch resistant (Never cracked the screen or the back, slid on concrete so many times, barerly any scratch, while my s8 with GG5 deeply scratched the first day I got it, by putting it on a table), the overall feel and the display of the phone was the best. The gpu was very weak, even at 720p it could barerly hold 30fps in the new games from that era. Other than that, the phone was a great one. One thing that was a bummer was the bezeless sides of the display. they were so thin (even thinner than the s8) and any dust could make it's way under the screen, and theeen: completely crack the lcd all by itself! That's what happened to mine, and well... rest in peace.
I hope samsung will make these great phones again, but samsung is more excited to release plasticky 500 euros phones with all screen design, and higher end specs. and with terrible batteries. Considering how huge and power hungry they are, 5000 should have been the minimum. This one at half of that capacity was amazing. good bye, masterpiece galaxy A5...
Ferdie90, 15 Jan 2021I love this phone so much, I'm looking for it ,how can I get it ?I dont reccomend it. Why you ask? Because after some software updates your internal memory will be full. And guess what? You cant use a sd card as internal memory!!!!!

Been using this as secondary phone since Jan 2019. Now, I'm using it for Zoom meeting and Google Meet. It works with no problems at all. Battery drains around 15-20% per hour doing these tasks.
As of Nov 2020, this phone is still useful for some tasks, like taking notes, online meeting, search the web, etc.
I noticed the speaker is quite muffled. Maybe because I'm using a newer phone and got used to the higher quality sound.
The phone was good in its time, and still is to an extent. It did age nowadays. It is stuck on Android 7 Nougat and does not get security updates anymore. App support is still really good. Performance and battery life are good, though it does show its age. It can lag a bit sometimes, especially with many open apps. The screen is still great. It is an OLED with a great resolution for its size. The colors are great on this screen and it's really enjoyable to watch videos on it, although the screen is a bit small nowadays. The fingerprint reader isn't as fast as on new phones, but I think it still is faster than under-screen fingerprint readers on some new phones. Considering its age, it is still a good backup phone. Don't expect to do a lot of demanding tasks on it thought. There have been some screen and battery issues throughout the years so the screen and the battery had to be replaced at some point.
