Thinking about Xperia X which was released second half of 2016 and now with Nougat 7.1.1. And yet the Galaxy A5 2017 was released early this year but the Nougat 7.0 update only came a few weeks ago.
With these in mind I surmise that Samsung (with a supposed "optimised" software/UX but laiden with bloatware) is still slow in Android updates. Would you guys agree?
And would you rather have an optimised software but an older Android version (A5 2017) or a semi-optimsed software with less bloat but with a newer Android version (Xperia X)?
Lei, 30 Aug 2017Which is better A5 2017 or Xperia XA1 Ultra? Hellpppwell first of all you should think about size thats main reason 5.2inch and 6 inch performance should be a bit better on xa1 battery on a5.
I experienced an amazing thing with this phone today! My phone was at 3% at 3:00 PM. I turned on Max Power Saving because I can't find any outlet. Around 3:30 PM, the battery percentage dropped at 0%. BUT the phone is still alive! Like I can send messages! I even sent messages to myself just to make sure that everything is fine. At 4:00 PM, I found a wall outlet, but the phone is still alive! I'm just amazed! Haha. Because on normal battery mode, my phone will die minutes after 1%. This is a great optimization on Samsung's part.
P.S. My phone is still at marshmallow. :(
M using this phone and it is actually a nice and real good looking phone. It is fast and really good for everyday use. M loving this phone. Anybody looking for a phone at this price range I think this is the best.
I am from Serbia and still nothing about Nougat for my A5 2017 ....shit
[deleted post]Happy that at least u got it Any speed improvement
Is this beautiful and snappy..?
They should've released this phone with Nougat, but that can't do with a midrange phone. Shame.. now it's taking so long
Does the Dual Sim model support 3G/4G with both sims? I mean can I have 2 sims and have mobile data activated on both sims?

brm334, 29 Aug 2017Warranty will be void If in future smartphone have problem they will not repair it...Not just warranty void but after flash your phone will be open book for all, you loose your device certification by Google and than Google is not responsible for your data leak aur any other problems you would be face, you heard sometimes that millions of android phones are hacked because they all are the rooted/flash devices. I suggest you to wait for some time
Dejw, 29 Aug 2017Hey, i would like to buy Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) in the near future but i'm not 100% convince... moreThe phone is not bad at all, but if I were you I would go for the A5 2016! Almost a flagship smartphone and its camera is better than this year model !
