Just recently bought this phone and it's a great phone to have. The size is compact and its fits in any hand. Not too big nor small. I just like the grip of it and good to hold as well. I use official Galaxy A6 case (Dual layer cover) its an excellent case for this one. Battery is superb and lasts for a whole day. Gaming is average can play heavy games but dont expect too much of it like the flagship phones. Camera is great, music and sound quality is exceptional. Display is excellent that having 720p is unnoticeable at all. Build quality is really premium. I recommend getting this compared to the entry level J series phone with a same category as this.
Yahjhan, 29 Jan 2020Philippines sir, do you have an idea on how to solve this?I'm from Philippines, and using Samsung A6 (2018). I suggest that you perform a factory reset. Make sure that you know your Google account and PIN code so that you can still retrieve/ open your phone after you perform a factory reset.
Then you can try updating you phone again using software upgrade in settings.
Been using my phone for about a year now. All I can say is it's a decent phone, especially in business use. I installed couple of games too, Bully, Metal Slug 2 and 3, and even XCOM: Enemy Within. Not a problem.
Syncing issue in Email native app has been fixed. Really love this phone. It has metal aluminum body. Recently, Samsung released newer phone with plastic body. It's a dissapointment for me. I'm not gonna change my A6 until they release a phone with aluminum body.

My experience with Samsung says stay with the original firmware as long as possible. Updating means reducing device's life.
Update only if you change your phone every year.

Arjon, 20 Aug 2019I loved this phone until it got updated to Android Pie. Now camera frezees all the time. I can... moreI have this SAMSUNG A6 (2018) in fact I'm using right now. I can tell your statement is completely false. Non of them are true. My camera works just fine. Android Pie is just fine as of this moment.
Only problem I had is with the native Samsung Email app. It sync bad when you're using Outlook. My mails always come late. Syncing on the native Calendar is always giving me headache. Other than that it works just fine.
Gaming wise, I currently bought Bully: Anniversary Edition from Google Play for my phone to kill some time and boredom, it works just fine. I'm getting 40-55 frames per second when playing it, and it only consumes 5% battery for 1 hour plus.
I could say it's a decent phone for business but not for gaming.
