Samsung Android Rumors

Information on Samsung's eagerly-anticipated Galaxy A6 (2018) duo has literally been pouring into the rumor mill over the last few weeks. In case all the renders, live photos and certification filings weren't revealing enough for your taste, today brings a lengthy, well-shot and official-looking how-to video tour on the regular Galaxy A6 (2018) as well.

Frankly, it's not everyday that we get such an in-depth look at the design and features of a still unannounced headset, so we urge you to enjoy the high-resolution YouTube clip for yourself.

Besides a few nice glamour shots and a quick tour around the Samsung Experience UI, the clip also offers confirmation for some of the specs on the Galaxy A6 (2018). The phone has a 5.6-inch, Super AMOLED display, with HD+ resolution. In terms of overall shape, the panel appears to be part of the Infinity Display family, as popularized by the Korean giant's recent flagships. It's not curved around the sides, but it does come with an extra-tall, 18.5:9 aspect ratio and rounded corners.

Other details about the A6's appearance include a Galaxy S9-style vertical arrangement of a pair of cameras and the fingerprint reader on the back and a 7.7mm thickness measurement on the metal body, available in black, blue and gold. Speaking of the cameras, both have 16MP sensors, one sitting behind an f/1.7 lens, while the other - an f/1.9. The video does not specify a pixel count on the selfie, but it does show off a convenient selfie LED flash, complete with intensity adjustment.

Internals weren't exactly touched upon in the video either, but we expect the regular Galaxy A6 (2018) to stick with an Exynos 7870 chipset, along with 3GB or 4GB of RAM. Its bigger Galaxy A6+ (2018) sibling will likely bring a bump up in display size and resolution, to 6 inches and FullHD+, respectively, as well as a Snapdragon 625 chipset.

There is no real news on pricing and availability for the Galaxy A6 pair as of yet, except a trio of launch markets, unofficially confirmed by Samsung - Europe, Russia, and the Middle East. Mind you, this list is preliminary.
