TheMan, 21 Jul 2020Well, I think I've given it my best and wish to end it cause the whole process is repetit... moreThere's a rectangular paper seal at the interface of the box cover and the box that prevents anyone from opening the box without tearing/removing the paper seal. If that seal is intact and not torn or tampered (removed and reattached), then you certainly have a brand new unit.
If you say the entire box was sealed with shrink wrap plastic, then anybody can do that to a previously opened box and there's no assurance it's really brand new because plastic shrink wrap is easily replaceable, not like the paper seal.

There's a rectangular paper s... moreWell, I think I've given it my best and wish to end it cause the whole process is repetitive and stressful. In the company's A71 website these are the items the mentioned are included with the phone :-
- Manual
- Warranty Guide
- Smart Switch Guide
- Wall Travel Adapter
- Data Cable
- Ejection Pin
- USB Connector
However, I only got the ejection pin, travel adapter, data cable and manual... So it means the screen protector, transparent casing and earphone does not come with the phone in brand new and it's possible this is the way it is sold cause my box was sealed I was the one that opened it.

I have it too, after the update to OneUI 2.1 and June 2020 security patch. In comparison with the previous camera app though before the update, the new camera update is better - it now allows use of flash in 64 megapixel mode, and has nice additional manual controls in PRO mode: manual focus, manual white balance, metering modes, temperature, tint, contrast, saturation, highlight and shadow adjustments in addition to the previously available manual ISO and exposure compensation. The manual shutter is buggy though and doesn't allow shutter speeds longer than 0.5 sec (crashes if you set it at 1 sec or longer). Nothing has changed in the video mode - still no manual video controls: you can't lock exposure or focus or set manual ISO or manual focus so your video footage will be horrible in changing light conditions and low light situations (auto mode will cause the focus to hunt back and forth repeatedly and variable strong lighting will cause alternating overexposed and underexposed video scenes that will leave you screaming because you'll have no control over it whatsoever - it's full auto only).
Let's hope Samsung fixes those nasty bugs and oversight in the lack of manual video controls in the next A71 camera software update.

A71 user, 21 Jul 2020My camera app failed while taking photo on pro mode with shutter speed more than 2 sec. Does ... moreYes. I have the same camera bug in PRO mode. I can't set a shutter speed slower than 0.5 sec. As soon as you go to 1 second or longer (1 sec, 2 sec, 4 sec, 8 sec and 10 sec), the camera app crashes. It's really better now with more manual controls but the shutter setting is buggy so it's pretty much useless for low light tripod photography.

I live in Croatia.My A71 came with a phone ,charger and a cable,headphone,litlle box on top with instructions,warranity card and the little thingy that you use to open the sim card.No case and no pre installed screen protector.I knew I woudn't get those here because I watched some reviews of it in my country.And it's 100% real,I know it.

Finally got the One UI 2.1 update, so far so good, no issue, the single take camera function is quite useful since I can take photo & video at the same time, macro shot get slight improvement (I am quite satisfied with the result), other function yet to discover.

wait. that was my idea, ok blast to the past. so i was making a samsung phone in scratch (in paper) then i upgrade, and upgrade, and upgrade till my mom had a oppo a71 2018, then i always see on samsung that the middle camera. then upgrade. then i realized the Samsung has an A71. what a coincidence

TheMan, 20 Jul 2020I bought the first phone it came without accessories so I thought it was a mistake, I exchange... moreDid your A71 and its replacement A71 came in a SEALED BOX? There's a rectangular paper seal at the edge of every BRAND NEW Samsung A71 phone that has never been opened.
And I really don't think regional variations will skimp on the built in plastic screen protector and free jelly case. They're too cheap not to include in all regional variants. Other freebies like wired headphones may be market dependent but the free jelly case and plastic screen protector? Both have to be there if you received an original, SEALED Samsung A71. Otherwise, all you got is an OPEN BOX, likely a slightly used, but returned item.
I say get a refund and buy your A71 in a sealed box, truly BRAND NEW, from a real store
or a reputable online seller that doesn't sell OPEN BOX/SLIGHTLY USED items as BRAND NEW.
