Every day I try to connect wifi, but it show no internet connectivity . my all 3 mobiles work fine and 2 laptops work fine, but this samsung mobile has many inbuilt apps like bixby which neither are uninstalled nor stopped and behave wrong. ever after factory reset they are not removed. there is no solution given by samsung. so I recommend not to buy any samsung mobile
gin, 11 May 2020the plastic frame is pulling me back from buying A71:( i miss the old A series (A7, A9 etc)... moreIt shouldn't. A plastic frame is a very small reason compared to say you don't like the A71 because of poor screen or poor battery life, which, it's the opposite (it has great screen and battery life). Plastic is cheap, yes, but it has advantages in keeping the phone lightweight, more shock absorbing and you don't see it anyway as the phone is covered in a case.
the plastic frame is pulling me back from buying A71:(
i miss the old A series (A7, A9 etc). they are mid range but premium :(
Anonymous, 11 May 2020a71 cause plasticI'll take plastic anytime over other undesirable features (Example: curved screens, no micro sd expansion, no headphone jack, non-snapdragon processor, etc).
Anonymous, 11 May 2020I'm using this one:
... moreHere's a link to the other GCam I've mentioned. It has faster Night Sight, but doesn't capture as well as the first one in very low light scenes. On a positive side, it supports lots of image processing options (saturation, black point, white point, contrast, noise reduction settings, tone curve, etc.) so you can get exactly the output you want. It has astrophotography mode but I don't think it works. It also has option to enable ultrawide and telephoto lenses but enabling both will cause permanent app crash, you would need to go to 'app storage' and 'clear data' to get it to work again (reset to factory settings).
Tedd, 10 May 2020I'm torn between samsung a71 and mi note 10. Any advice? I need a reliable phone that i can us... moreI just recently bought mi note 10. i would strongly suggest u to pick Samsung. the screen curved edge of mi note 10 is not sensitive. the letters on the edge of keyboard (a,q,p,l) take a lot of effort to get to. it is quite annoying most of the time. even though the camera is superb, the MIUI has so many advertisement everywhere.
A71 user, 09 May 2020Can anyone suggest the good working gcam version for A71.
The one i am using doesn't have ult... moreI'm using this one:
It doesn't have astro mode or ultrawide mode but it makes wonderfully clean, properly exposed low light to very low light shots with the proper adjustments to the settings.
Go to Settings - (Photo) ... Advanced - (HDR+ settings) Correction Auto Exposure - Min. ISO limited to 1/10 sec (or 2 sec.)
Depending on the scene darkness, choose anywhere from 1/10 sec to 2 sec for proper exposure, although for really dark scenes, 1/10 sec may not be enough so would suggest the highest: 2 sec. for really very low light scenes.
For normal indoor settings or typical warm white indoor lighting, 1/10 sec. produces well exposed photos with remarkably more detail and less noise than the default Samsung camera app.
There's another GCam app I previously used for the A71 that captures Night Sight photos much faster than the one above but it doesn't respond to ISO settings changes so in really very low lighting, it doesn't capture as well as the GCam I posted in the link above.
EBR, 10 May 2020w/c is better in durability between A71 and Note 10 Lite? Not much since they are both from Samsung. Although would always prefer a snapdragon processor over an Exynos one as snapdragon processors have better thermal properties and there are lots of GCam ports for snapdragon based devices (almost none for Exynos devices).

Tedd, 10 May 2020I'm torn between samsung a71 and mi note 10. Any advice? I need a reliable phone that i can us... moreIf you don't care much about other specs (micro sd expansion, Widevine L1 certification for Netflix offline viewing and screen sharing to a big screen TV, fast software updates, LTE band selection capability, hidden hotspot capability, micro sd encryption capability, etc.) and you only want a better camera and bigger battery, plus IR blaster (master remote), get the Mi Note 10. Otherwise, the A71 is a much better all-rounder.
Anonymous, 09 May 2020The black on the screen move along when I scroll and disappear after a fraction of second. Mai... moreI really don't notice what you are describing on my A71 in any mode (regular/light mode or dark mode, in whatever display brightness setting - min. to max.) Try checking other A71 units if you notice the same. If you don't, it's probably a screen issue and I'd suggest you have your A71 replaced or repaired if under warranty.
B, 09 May 2020I've purchased the samsung galaxy a51 and a71 to compare and as I assumed the a71 has been bet... moreTry setting the camera resolution of the A71 to 'FULL' (don't use the 64 megapixel or other modes). That way, you won't have problem uploading huge photo file sizes. Alternately, you can save the photo first, reduce its file size and resolution before uploading to snapchat.
Tedd, 10 May 2020I'm torn between samsung a71 and mi note 10. Any advice? I need a reliable phone that i can us... moreMi Note 10 for sure. You'll get longer software-based support, cameras are significantly better (5 cameras!) and battery life is better too. If you are going to use a device for the long-run, choose the Mi Note 10

Tdkm, 09 May 2020Its normal with OLED screens appaerntly. Was worries about mine as well. Have you contacted Samsung on it? Or can it be fixed by a software update?
Can anyone suggest the good working gcam version for A71.
The one i am using doesn't have ultrawide mode nor astrophotography mode. Also the images are bit darker around the dark corners of the scene.
