The photos are much, much more detailed, sharper and better looking at 100% crop, and even the GCam with Night Sight is way much, much better on the Poco F2 Pro. And the Poco F2 Pro 's manual camera mode allows for up to 30sec shutter speed and ISO 6400 with ability to do manual focus. The A71' s 'Pro' mode is really a joke in comparison. And the 4K 60fps video is just buttery smooth and crisp on the Poco F2 Pro; and there's an 8K option too (both modes not available on the Samsung A71). Add to that, the punch hole free HDR10+ screen of the Poco F2 Pro which is just beyond comparison to the regular, (non-HDR 10+) A71 amoled screen with big punch hole. And the processor speed, fluidity and touch responsiveness of the Poco F2 Pro is just way so much better than in the A71 which sometimes misses touches, taps snd swipes. And the IR blaster is something I really missed with the A71 as all my previous phones had IR blasters which I use extensively.
Despite the Poco F2 Pro's overall superiority though, there are still things I miss about the A71 that the Poco F2 Pro just can never provide : the dedicated micro sd storage and ability to mirror offline Netflix downloads to the big screen TV which the Poco F2 Pro can never do. Also, no FM radio on the Poco. And then there's this MIUI thing that's too aggressive at killing background apps to save battery power. It causes my analog clock widgets and weather and digital time widgets to just stop updating/moving. You have to dig up settings and do many tweaks just to prevent MIUI's aggressive memory and battery management from repeatedly killing them off. Never had those problems with Samsung's One UI or with my LG phones and another Android One phone.
I wish Samsung comes up with a punch hole free - pop up selfie camera design in the future and an IR blaster too. And possibly give users the real 'Pro' mode they deserve, which Samsung only provides to its flagship phones. Competition is good. I'm hoping both Samsung and Xiaomi up their game as it will be ultimately beneficial to the customers.

dj1891, 05 Jul 2020WRONG: Look at archive firmware for A50 on sam mobile, you will see an update each and every ... moreProbably almost all the issue with A50 has been solved, so there is no need of monthly updates, I have a Android One phone & it's get monthly updates, I feel quite annoying as the update are just for the sake of update, it solves one issue then bring a few new issue, I just hope there can reduced the update to quarterly, have the issues solved before release to user.

I have my a71 also as my secondary and poco f2pro as my main phone. I wont be needing the 256G storage that is why i chose the 6/128 which saved me about 9k to 10k php or about 200usd.
Yes, a71 is good but for my use case, f2pro was better. Almost in all aspects.

Didn't see any issue with One UI 2.0 & didn't see significant changes to improvement of One UI 2 1 over 2.0, Better let A51 ironed out all the bugs before the update goes to A71.

It cost me 20,000.00 pesos with vouchers and promo from my credit card. Well this may not be true for all but just me. When the poco f2pro was released in the philippines, it only cost the same price. Now its 24,000.00

Flagships get monthly updates so if you want monthly updates, get the latest Galaxy S or Galaxy Note series. Or you can buy a Pixel phone or an Android one phone.

Simoo, 04 Jul 2020Regardless memory card, what's your opinion about this phone xiaomi? Their hardware button are not durable, expect to replace it after 1-2 year, GPS not accurate & slow, MIUI is still light years behind One UI, many of Xiaomi apps are hit & missed, mean sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
The list can go on & on , I will just leave it here, tired of typing...lol

A71 is still using... moreA51 is world best selling phone in 2020 so getting an earlier update is understandable, then again is better that Samsung update A51 prior to A71, any big there found would have been solved by the time the update goes to A71.
Since there is no issue with current UI & the new update doesn't bring any significant improvement, why rush for it ?

A71 is still using one ui2.0 whiles A51 is using one ui2.1. They have time for their exynos chip phones more than the Qualcomm snapdragon chip phones which is really bad.

It's a phone softwar... moreI have the the same problem, but also problems with the screen, when the brightness is low I see burned areas and green-pink tints, the same like S20+ wich I returned and I said, ok, I want a phone till Samsung solve the problems and then I will buy again S20+, but I see that Samsung began to make very bad jokes with us, so I think I will go for OnePlus. Doesn't matter S20+ or A71, both of phones are getting warm, have bad screens, problems with gost touches, and also charging problems. It's unacceptable !
PS: I use Adobe Lightroom for editing my photos and export time takes longer on S20+ with Exynos 990 than this A71 with Snapdragon 730, oh my, now when I remind that I read that Snapdragon 845 beats Exynos 990 sometimes and I thought is a joke, bow I think it's not a joke.

Phone has slow updates. UK Unlocked is stuck on April patch in July, while middle east is stuck on January patch. Meanwhile last years a50 is on July patch.

I am annoyed as hell thinking of selling it i think the problem is with phone not charger because I tried other fast charges but doesn't seem to work
