Can anyone suggest the good working gcam version for A71.
The one i am using doesn't have ultrawide mode nor astrophotography mode. Also the images are bit darker around the dark corners of the scene.

The black on the screen move along when I scroll and disappear after a fraction of second. Mainly in Settings when all the option bars become wobbly as I scroll. This issue goes away as I turn the brightness up. How can I fix this?

I've purchased the samsung galaxy a51 and a71 to compare and as I assumed the a71 has been better except for the camera quality on third party apps like snapchat and Instagram. I mostly care because of snapchat. On Instagram I can simply upload a pic I took from my phone camera but on snap you can't do that for snapchatting individuals. The pictures come out blurry as well as extra zoomed in. Is there any way to fix this?

This phone is honestly really good been using it for a few weeks now. I just got the April update a few days ago and now my battery is dying a bit faster now. I go to work for 12 hours and I used to come back with 50-60% battery still now I get like 35-45% when I come back. And I still use it the same as I always do while at work. The 25w charger really doesn't make it seem like much of a problem but I do hope it gets fixed with the next update.

AhmedSLL, 07 May 2020You don't understand how the ban works, all Huawei phones with "pre-ban" chip sets are up-to-d... moreI'm not attacking Huawei. I'm just stating the advantages of the A71 over the Nova 5T (there are plenty). The Huawei Nova 5T has advantages too, but not as many as those of the A71 (A71 has FM radio, micro SD slot, 3.5mm jack, bigger AMOLED screen, bigger battery, etc.) As I said, the A71 is a newer phone. It came with Android 10 so it's going to get more updates than the Huawei will ever get, since the Huawei is an older phone. And with Huawei's banning, Android 11 update is a big question mark for Huawei Nova 5T, but not for Samsung A71. Most android manufacturers only update one to two android versions. The Nova 5T already has one android version update so the next version update is not likely to happen. Also, the A71 has snapdragon processor which means CUSTOM ROMs will be more widely available. Kirin processors are not as open as snapdragon processors that is why installing a custom ROM on Kirin devices is not going to be easy. Availability of custom ROMs for Kirin devices is scarce. Not as plentiful as snapdragon devices. So if Huawei and Samsung stop updating their phones (Nova 5T and A71 respectively), the Samsung will still be updatable using custom ROM's while the Huawei will not have much anymore. Custom ROMs for Kirin based devices are not as widely available as snapdragon devices.

And frankly I don't understand why your looking for anything to attack Huawei, we're just expressing different opinions, you see the a71 as the better phone, I see the nova 5t as the better one, there is no reason for you to attack them nor for me to defend them, in fact if you've seen my comments on new Huawei devices, you'd find I'm one of those who constantly warn people nit to buy phones without google services.

The Huawei launched with Android 9 and was updated to Android 10. With Google being banned working with Huawei, there is NO FUTURE for Android updates for Huawei. That's it and its likely end-of-life support for the phone.

As for Samsung, it just launched with Android 10. That means its GUARANTEED to have Android 11 and two more years of Android software updates, being a newer phone and with Samsung, not banned by the US like Huawei.

Lolla, 06 May 2020Samsung galaxy A71 or oppo reno 2f?plz helpThe Oppo Reno 2 (snapdragon 730G version) is equivalent to the Samsung A71 730G in processor power and has additional features like a notch free screen (pop up selfie camera) for an ALL SCREEN DISPLAY, and has OIS in the main rear camera and also has a telephoto camera and USB-C 3.1 so you can use USB-C to HDMI adapter for screen. All those features are ABSENT in the A71. In favor of the A71 is the fact that it has bigger battery and dedicated micro sd slot (the Oppo Reno 2 has hybrid slot). Also, the A71 display is bigger with faster charging, and the A71 is cheaper than the Oppo Reno 2 (snapdragon 730G) version.

My verdict? Go for the Oppo Reno 2 or Samsung A71 depending on your needs and budget.

If you spend more on the Oppo Reno 2 however, just be VERY SURE though that you get the Snapdragon 730G version of Oppo Reno 2 and NOT the Mediatek versions (Oppo Reno 2Z or 2F versions) as they are lower in quality than the Samsung A71.

AhmedSLL, 06 May 2020First of all, the Kirin 980 is comparable to the sd855, flagship processors have nothing to do... moreYou can continue dreaming about Kirin 980 being 'superior' just because it's flagship processor from Huawei while 730G is midrange processor from qualcomm but that's just that.

At most, the Kirin can have about equivalent RAW performance but when you consider most android apps are optimized for snapdragon processors, the equivalence ends there. The snapdragon becomes clearly superior.

https://versus.com/en/huawei-hisilicon-kirin-980-vs-qualcomm-snapdragon-730g

For other phone features, you are blind to ignore them as advantages.

To repeat, the A71 is better in every way unless you want a smaller screen, you consider a smaller battery as better, you consider no micro sd storage expansion as better, you consider no headphone jack as better, you consider no FM radio as better, you consider lower camera specs as better, you consider a US banned company with no Google support and no more future android software updates as superior, and saving $60 because of the absence of all of the above features in the Nova 5T which the Samsung A71 has is worth it.
