i hope Samsung put a 90hz display on the A72 be case the only thing is missing on the A71. in my opinion with the cpu SD730 i miss the lag and if Samsung make the A72 withe 90hz refresh display it will be sold phone can beat any mid-range phone in 2021!!!

I have upgraded to One UI version 2.1. Another thing, this A71 doesn't charge if I use another cable, say of one plus 8 or Reno 4 pro. I have to use the cable supplied in the box of A71. I have 65 watts fast charger but that does not help. I think restart and factory resetting the phone is the solution. But I have a nagging doubt that the charging port is substandard. Sumsung brand is known for this.

It has its share of issues like with any other android phone brand but there are effective solutions or at the very least, workarounds. It's probably your first Android phone in years if you claim it has 'the ability of a phone 10 years ago' since android phones have improved so much by leaps and bounds through the years. The A71 launched with Android 10 and it's got a good camera setup and extensive feature set, so it's certainly not even a year behind in software and technology. If there's a phone that's 10 years behind, I'm sure it's the one that you have.

Then I stopped buying sams... moreYes I experienced that many times, before update to OneUI 2.1 It's charging but the battery percentage keeps dropping. And sometimes, it just stops charging for no reason at all. The quick fix is to reboot your A71 every time that happens. It will solve the problem 100% but it may recur if you keep your A71 deeply discharged before charging and if you are using the low quality provided Samsung charger.
The long term solution is to update your A71 to OneUI 2.1, do a full factory reset after the update and throw away the low quality Samsung superfast charger and Samsung cable provided in the box and replace it with a third party superfast charger (BaseUS 30watts type C superfast charger) and Ugreen 60watts type C to type C cable. That's the only way to banish that charging bug/issue permanently. And of course, avoid getting the battery very low. It's bad for battery life and phone longevity and has issues with the provided Samsung superfast charger which sometimes can't provide the high current to turbo charge a deeply discharged battery. After all, it's poor quality. (Not so with the BaseUS - Ugreen combo so go buy the combo).

The Samsung A71 is without a doubt the worst phone I've ever owned, and I've owned a lot, from every manufacturer. Do yourself a favour if you don't want to be constantly frustrated by a basic un-user friendly phone that seems to have the ability of a phone 10 years ago. If you do get one, you'll be paying out even more just to get out of contract with the thing.

Samsung phones are prone to charging problems I think. They should change the vendor of USB charging port for their phones.

Samsung phones are prone to charging problems. My Galaxy S3 had it. Then I stopped buying samsung phones for so many years. Samsung UI was also crappy. Now , after hearing One UI is excellent , I bought Samsung A71 few months back. Now my A71 started having charging problem. Charging Indicator shows it is charging but % is not increasing. Static at 90% for 15 minutes... then decreasing to 89% then 88% ....battery % goes on decreasing but charging indicator shows it is charging. Any ideas anyone?

Using A71 since 1 month. Battery - I daily need 40% of battery and recharge every alternate day. My usage is not too heavy I guess. Daily total of 3 hours on call, Whats app mostly messages very limited images , videos but need to check almost every hour as few of office messages , status comes on whats app group. Facebook max 1 hour - 30 mins in morning and 30 mins in night. Rarely you tube videos - May be 30 mins in a week . I switch off my cell at night around 11 PM and switch ON again in morning around 6.30 AM

Very small screen and worst battery ... moreI'm actually still not sure about the SE because the Note 10 Lite is cheaper than the SE here, but the iPhone felt a lot better compared to the Note 10 Lite. I also tested the SE, 11, Note 10 Lite, A71, and S20 by turning on multiple apps, backing out of them rapidly, then turning the camera on and clicking a picture.
Apps turned on, in order: calls, messages, browser, calculator, calendar, camera
The SE and 11 outperformed everything else. The Note 10 Lite actually performed better and was less laggy than the S20 in fact.
Don't actually see any point in that S20 now :/
Plus, the iPhones felt better in the hand compared to the Samsung devices.
