I came from mid to low version of huawei to samsung because of more space, bet... moreThe traditional capacitive fingerprint scanners really are more reliable and consistent than optical underdisplay fingerprint scanners. It's a fact you have to live with. Optical underdisplay fingerprint scanners require your fingertips to be reflective (slightly oily, not flaky dry) for the fingerprint recognition to be successful. Otherwise, you'll have repeated false rejections. I get the same problems from optical underdisplay fingerprint scanners with both Xiaomi and Samsung IF my fingerprints are flaky and dry. The only solution is keep your fingertips moisturized or you can wipe an oily part of your face with your fingertips prior to fingerprint scan to minimize/avoid false rejections.

This phone sux. I came from mid to low version of huawei to samsung because of more space, better camera and better and bigger screen. Display is better, camera too but according to specs i was expecting this samsung will run much faster and smoother. I have a lot of lag issues while browsing. Phone is really slow. Finger print on screen sux as well. Rarely finger is recognised by phone. I need to try at least 2,3 times sometimes 5 times and still nothing. Huawei has fingerprint reader at a back and work perfectly. I am dissapointed with this phone. Like i said according to specs and price i expected much better phone

Just bought it from online. Although everything's fine but pubg graphics comparison to Xiaomi A2 is not bad nor better. Didn't like it . The rest is fine.

I'm currently using a 5 y... moreWhile considering A71 I was thinking same way, don't have the easy answer if wait or not though. Depends on one's urge. I think they said to add OIS to new Galaxy A's so maybe that's one reason to check out the new one? Q1/21 should fit.

Anonymous, 21 Aug 2020OiS is important for video shot, no so for photo shot, despite A71 has Super Steady Mode but i... moreOIS is even more useless in video especially for high resolution 4K and 8K videos for as long as you are using a wideangle camera (main camera). You still get nausea inducing videos even with OIS enabled that's why in addition to OIS, manufacturers add EIS to further improve stability but at the expense of video resolution, coverage and quality. EIS crops the video output so you are in effect, getting a zoomed video that has significant loss of details and coverage.
My previous phone had OIS but it's still nowhere near as professional and smooth looking as when I use my gimbal. OIS only gets near gimbal quality if you also enable EIS and only shoot at low 1080p or 720p resolutions which are cropped and sorely lacking in detail compared to a native 1080p or 720p footage captured without EIS and stabilized by a gimbal.
If you are serious about high quality video, no phone OIS will suffice. Only a gimbal will do.
