Now a ... moreWell the back cover is actually a glossy plastic held with little bit glue, but this make replacing the battery is easy, after 8 years the glue got hardened and the back cover came off by itself.

A7 2016 was built same like a flagship! It had a premium in hand feel with glass back . Now a days midrange phone ships with plastic back , no complaints plastic is more durable,

If Samsung woud build this phone evry year or 2 and just upgrade it I would never have another phone even the a5 or a3 2016 ....best phone I had till today compared with the specific year

Unless you're buying the Ultra versions of S-Series and Note Series, you're no longer getting value for money. Back in the day, Samsung Alpha Series were the best phones you could own in the upper midrange segment. Samsung decided to do away with Alpha and introduce Awesome Series instead. These phones are cheapish and full of plastics. The Apha Series were build with glass all round sandwiching a metal chassis.

Mine had 16GB memory and at one point Samsung pushed a big update and installed tons of Microsoft bloatware that I can't delete. Apps have also become huge from the average size of 10MB 5 years ago to almost 100MB now. Also, a good number of apps are no longer supported on this version of Android.

Sammy, 28 Jan 20226 years ??? Donate it the nearest Museum and buy another phone !!!I also bought mine in 2016 and it's the best piece of tech I have ever owned. Its' time for upgrade and Samsung seems to have gone back to the era of plastics. I'm still yet to decide between a Xiaomi 11t (premium design, glass front, glass back, aluminum frame) and A53 5G that's full of plastics but with an awesome camera than the 11t.

Great phone. Been using it since 2016 n it is still working perfecting. Samsung phones are extremely reliable n so the next phone that I buy will be another Samsung.
