Since there is no MM update for snapdragon variants of A7, does that mean that we can't flash it manually? I mean if we flash some firmware that is meant for Exynos CPU, will it work on our snapdragon? Probably not...

Denesis, 17 Dec 2016Guys, I've just looked up A7 2015 edition, especially the snapdragon version and guys, it's go... moreIt's due to legacy CDMA support. Some Chinese carriers still use it, this is the same reason why the US also gets the Snapdragon variants. Most countries have phased out CDMA and that's why Samsung hasn't bothered implementing it inside their Exynos modem.

Guys, I've just looked up A7 2015 edition, especially the snapdragon version and guys, it's gotten MM update. Same freaking CPU as our A7100 and it has MM but the newer model does not. The good news is that 2015 edition came out with KitKat, and right now the majority of models have MM implying that we may get the Nougat update eventually. The bad news is that there are still A7 2015 devices with KitKat :(
I am also wondering why they put snapdragon CPU only in Chinese region. I mean, why not put Exynos as it seems that snapdragon models are the last ones to get updates. Is it due to licence and Chinese government or what? Maybe someone can explain?
