AnonD-460812, 30 Oct 2015i had very bad experience with this model samsung, this model suddenly will get heat up then c... morecheck your battery usage and find any app causing heavy battery usage. if that media server bug then reset device and remove SD card and check all video files in that SD in your laptop. if you transfer a unfinished downloaded file from your computer to your phone then your device will over heat. for example an unfinished torrent movie..... find that kind of files you are cured....

download new firmware from sammobile dot com and flash it on your phone. normally a one month old phone won't behave like that unless you do something. there are a lot of 'how to' videos in you tube. just follow those. i got help from here .now i know what to do with my device. believe me you got a great device... who ever has an over heating device is just because something you done with your device. reset your device by flashing new firmware and install quality softwares you are good to go......

Recently i recieved a system update for my a8 has any one got this i am in doubt weathe... moreYou just did system upgrade! You need to reset the phone, after system upgrade have finished. Factory Reset (not restart). Explanation. When you download the system upgrade file, and follow by restart for the system upgrade to install. You need to completely finished the system upgrade and do a final restart; then do Factory reset.
I have 2 S5 of different models 16GB & 32GB. The system upgrade file is 1GB. One of the S5 start to go weird. So i did Factory reset. Result. S5(32GB) android 5.1 but S5(16GB) android 5.0. Conclusion. System upgrade file are for all S5 models. By doing Factory Reset, it will correctly update to the correct version. This is Samsung style!!!!

Also check your download apps which also may contribute to your problem.
It did happened to me, as the game graphic were having problem, which was confirmed by the game developer as it was the issue. This could be the reason, as Samsung service center did reset the phone and still with the same conditions, just like yours, unable to resolved. Nothing to do with the Samsung, even they were also confused.

i just bought it one month back but already send to service center for 3 times. first time their change one to one ....second time their repair ....now i do not know what their going to do .....samsung what happen to you
