dats quite impractical..
a core can be related to hand..!!
1 core=1 hand...2 cores=2 hands..!!
use depends from task to task..
suppose u hv 1 scissor nd u want to cut 1 leaf,,,den 1 hand(1 core) is enough..!!
there simply is no need for a dual core or 2 hands for this task..!!
if u hv 50 roses and u have to put them in 2 different boxes...den surely more dan 1 hand would get things faster nd dats where dual and quad core step in..!!!
where d work gets distributed equally amongst cores..!!

comparing ace nd ace 2,..!!
suppose v start temple run on both phones..!!
dey will run on 800mhz speed only..!!
if v minimize this game nd open sum other game simultaneously..i.e.multitask...
den ace will process it at 400mhz,,,but ace 2 will process the game at same 800mhz...coz its dual core baby...:-p
3 apps...ace-about 270mhz...ace2-abt 530 mhz...
u may ask questions if u want to..!!
and yeah while multitasking,,and only multitasking,,like opening 3-4 appa,,,the dual core ace2 will give d same performance as a single core 1.6ghz single core...

ace 2 wouldve been a 1.6ghz processor if it had a core 2 duo..!!,,,nt dual core..!!
core 2 duo means 1 core and 2 processors...means if d core is 800mhz den cpu is 1.6 ghz,,!!
dual core is 1 processor 2 cores...

That's what the tech blogs/sites would really say. It would have almost the same processing speed as a 1600 MHz/1.6 GHz single-core processor, but technically It's not the same.

In my opinion, ICS upgrade isnt only dependent if the specs of your phone can run ICS, if the specs is the only basis, then ace 2 and s advance will surely get it, but have you heard of the term "marketing strategy"?, I think samsung is not giving s advance and ace 2 ICS, so that they can market the next batches of mid range phones that have built in ICS. I Think Samsung really feels they are king now(they really are) so the Sony Xperia's sure ICS update dont scare them much. This is just my opinion. have a nice day.
