Anonymous, 11 Dec 2014how do you get rid of that screen lock having to double tap all the time when ringing automate... moreThis feature is sooo annoying! I have spoken to Samsung who told me that I cannot get rid of it. Also, during conversations the screen UNLOCKS itself and causes other problems because it is touch screen. I have returned the phone twice to the EE shop and once for repair!
Anonymous, 23 Nov 2014Good phone for me because I'm not a huge userWhat abt its battery timing??
Anonymous, 11 Dec 2014how do you get rid of that screen lock having to double tap all the time when ringing automate... moreYou can't. Ace 4 Does not have proximity sensor. (Same on Core II, Young II, Star II, Ace NXT, S Duos 3 and Ace Style)
how do you get rid of that screen lock having to double tap all the time when ringing automated phone, annoying me so muchalready only had thing for a couple of hours
Nightmare - I thought the Nokia Luia 800 was bad, this surpasses that ten fold!!
As previous reviews state, Double Tap -Unlock has no significance and hinders key pad use when using automated response requests. (apparently you can not disable this!!!) As of today my touch screen has locked and removing battery and SIM, does not solve the problem, 3rd replacement on it's way to me.
Big mistake all should be re-called.
samai, 24 Nov 2014Don't buy this phone!!! I did and have regretted it almost from the start. The proximity senso... moreThis phone is unusable if you need to put in any numbers eg choose an option as you have to double tap every couple of seconds to override the screen lock
Do not buy this phone if you ever try to speak to an automated system or want to carry out internet banking. The screen greys out after a couple of seconds and then blanks out a few seconds later. Try to double tap and then put an account number in before you need to double tap again - A disaster
Where I live, this costs 95$ ... Ace 1 costs 94, Ace 2 120, Ace 3 140, the price is really good, the problem is the 512 mb ram .. I own a Galaxy S5 but I'm considering this as a work phone .. I don't know ..
Not sure whether specs are "per-country" but here in the UK the Ace 4 has an sAMOLED screen as opposed to TFT. Came as a bit of a surprise to me as I thought this was meant to be a budget handset.
How do I find equivalent of Apple's Passbook. I have IPhone and my wife has just got Galaxy Ace4.
Avoid this phone! once phone has booted has about 60mb of free ram and is very slow! the galaxy ace 3 has double the ram!
i buy this phone yesterday and i dont think was a good decision. Are some problems ???????
this phone certainly hangs only if you do multitasking
i used power clean for junk memory cleaner.
overall very nice look and good quality.
Play Store is not connecting on my set, check your connection message appears. any help!
Don't buy this phone!!! I did and have regretted it almost from the start. The proximity sensor has been replaced by a lock screen that you have to double tap to unlock in order to access the keypad. This is HUGELY frustrating if you are calling a company and need to press a number to be redirected elsewhere. This feature alone makes it a phone not worthy of consideration. I know it is a lower end smartphone, but, seriously, no proximity sensor??? It is also infuriatingly slow at times. And to top it off, mine refuses to turn itself fully on if there is a SIM card inserted, it reaches the lock screen and then starts itself again, and then again, and then again ......... It is fine OK if no SIM card, but not so with SIM card. A technical glitch no doubt but one that will require me to return the phone for service and which it does nothing to improve my opinion of a phone I have grown to truly dislike.
Bought this phone today and the battery life is appalling. Fully charged it and within half an hour it had gone down by 20%
