if you want to out from home, do not forget to bring the battery charger and usb cable. Or provide battery back-up.

STRiKER, 19 Apr 2012To all those who are thinking about getting this handset and have big dreams in their eyes, i ... moreI think by your comments that these overreacting and that some of the problems you had with your phone has been caused by the manipulation you did. Personally I do the test terminal and I can tell that this phone does exactly the job you expect from a mid-range phone, if you have to expect higher performance phones go higher ranges in the same way if you want a phone behave like an iPhone then it is best to buy an iPhone. We must not lose sight of the location of the terminal and ask for the impossible.
ace is not bad mid range at all....only thing goes against it tht it still overpriced even after one year of its release ...why "overpriced????"coz rite nw there so many devices at same price gvs u better android experience..
.ace is just icandy n for basic users...heavy user shld go for phone having atleast 512mb ram 1ghz processor n shld b armv7 type...armv6 is becoming outdated nw..sometimes i feel my friends optimus one is better in performance thn ace
also one biggest thing goes against ace is tht samsung is not gonna upgrade it to ics..on other hand sony is commited to upgrade its most of the 2011's devices to ics
STRiKER, 20 Apr 2012Hmmm, I think you have a prejudice for this phone. Okay, you asked me to compare it with a pho... moreI dont agree. Good smartphones are out there, even in the mid range. And some of them are fabulous! Galaxy Ace Plus, Galaxy W, Xperia Neo V to name a few. And Ace 2, Xperia U, HTC One V among the new ones.
Mudassir, 20 Apr 2012Man this is a 15 months old model. I hope you can see the release date. what would you expect ... moreHmmm, I think you have a prejudice for this phone. Okay, you asked me to compare it with a phone with 5-6 months old release date. lets see, ok ok, u didnt find ace plus, explorer, xperia mini or any other phone. I also see that when you say there is a class to use a smartphone, u actually lack one. Dude, the phones, especially ace plus, are within 6 months of release and none of them is upto the mark. Ok, at 17k, what are u expecting ace plus to deliver? Its battery is 1300 and processor is 1GHz. May b that will b fine with u, right? And u say you have the right comprehension to use a smart phone. My point is, buy a droid with hight end specs. Period !
the best phone ever made below rs 15000 which has 3g- android-flash . everything is so nice & battery lasts for 3 to 3.5 days if GPS WiFi BLuetooth is switched off
Best phone i ever watched after after Nokia N 72 (phone of millenium)
STRiKER, 19 Apr 2012To all those who are thinking about getting this handset and have big dreams in their eyes, i ... moreMan this is a 15 months old model. I hope you can see the release date. what would you expect a 15 months old Android phone to deliver, that too in this price range? Galaxy Y has been released after whole one year of the release of this phone. Admittedly, the phone does not catch up with the latest phones out there. And it would be foolish to even make such a comparison. This is not a that bad phone as you have tried to project it. I have it for past 3 months and I have not many complaints with it. When you are using a smart phone, you have to know the art of using one too. This was one of the best phones by lets say the end of the year 2011. But no more, and one should also not expect it to be. This is for the advice of everyone considering to buy any phone which is expected to deliver the best value for the money:
"Buy a phone that has been released 5 to 6 months back"
There are two justifications in support of this statement.
1. The inflated price offered at the launch of a phone comes to a justifiable level in 5-6 months.
2. Even after 6 months of the launch, phones specifications are good / updated enough to compare with the newly introduced phones in the market.
I would never call it a bad phone. But its time as a strong competitor is gone for sure.
if u cant connect your wi-fi just go to market and download wi-fi manager or wifi connection manager. there's a lot of application or software free from the market just visit and try to find what u want. conact your service provider if it this doesn't work
This is an awesome phone i love the swype key board and all the apps you can put on it the camera's brilliant and it works just like an iphone i have the screen brightness turned down and i can see it in bright sunlight and if you have a SD card in it then you can put music and stuff on it.
prathamax, 19 Apr 2012well galaxy y dnt have gpu...ace atleast hv adreno 200Thats correct. But I find no reason why Ace lags with games, even though it possesses a GPU...that is what makes it a rag.
It is perfect the headphones stink but it has very loud microfones and a lot of space to download games,songs,pictures...and other yunk
I have been using this phone for about 1 month..bought it from Samsung store for Rs12500.
I have seen so many people asking here about battery..here's my experience...if you switch off GPRS/3G, WIFI, GPS - battery easily lasts for 1-2 days with around 2 hours talking, 1 hour music, 1 hour games per day.
So if you absolutely need data services continuously all day long, don't buy this phone. But like me if you just need to browse internet for maybe 30min/day then go for it. No other mobile gives you specs like Gorilla glass, 800Mhz, Gingerbread etc at this price.
