Prakhar476, 07 May 2015Everyone here is just crying for Lollipop update but Once you upgrade from Kitkat to Lollipop... moreEveryone going to forward in Lollipop, Samsung going to Back. LOlliPo p |ട a failure one in Alphaby by Samsung?
nicky, 06 May 2015Camera is very important for me. Is the Galaxy Alpha a good choice? My camera review:
The Alpha has 120fps 720p, 60fps 1080p and 30fps 4k video. The selfie cam is very wide-angle. As a video camera, very good I must say.
Aspect ratio is 16:9 in video and photo. Both buttons are on-screen simoultainiously. Easy switch :)
The metal frame's edges are perfect for a steady grip. Camera lens is likely normal glass, so will get scratches. I keep a screen protector cutout over it.
In my opinion, the main camera (on auto) tend to choose a long exposure unless it is very bright. That could result in unsharp images. Quite a lot of sharpening is applied. Bokeh is very good, great separation of up-close subjects. Colors are very accurate. Other optical factors are good. Image review is quite fast.
The iPhone 6 is better in low-light. Thats about it.
help,my Galaxy Alpha SM-G850Y has just been stolen,i own the phone outright & it isn't network locked, please is there anything i can do ?,Kindest Regards,Rich
Everyone here is just crying for Lollipop update but Once you upgrade from Kitkat to Lollipop you all will regret & want to rollback as lollipop update has a lot performance issues and apart from that Samsung has removed a lot of function in Lollipop for ALPHA. i.e Removed Smooth Motion from Camera Recording Mode which is best mode for recording video.
According to me Kitkat is just perfect as of now & i will not upgrade from Kitkat to Lollipop unless i would sure about the performance & functionality of the same.
Whenever i plug-in my phone into computer. there's no option for MTP or Camera Option showing on my samsung alpha. it's only charging. what's the problem of this? can anyone help me please.
Anonymous, 06 May 2015Samsung stopped the production of Alpha. So no interest in Alpha. Production was planned to be stopped in December, after the components ran out.

Anonymous, 05 May 2015Yes. Battery poor. Potential solutions to the battery shortage:
*Get the 2500mah extended battery
*or get another 1860mah battery along with the white, little chamber-style charger. This equalls a whopping 3720mah!
