very bulky and battery life is just average..The optical zoom is fantastic ,Galaxy badge and Android is a plus but very bulky to carry around..

Quad core and phone capabilities on something that's too expensive to be a point and shoot camera and too ridiculous and bulky to be a phone.
While it's really powerful and capable I'd rather buy a dedicated camera if i need a 12MP shooter.

1 & 2: many expert here, they easily offended by gadget that can't even make a call. They can answer that
3: in Indonesia, i believe u (and u'r wife), use more than 1 phone. Very huge price and quality difference in operator. I use indosat for call/text, tri for data. What is u'r wife purpose in buy the phone, is it because of camera purpose only, or for social networking/browser/games/apps?
If for camera, sure it's pureview. but for social networking/browser/games/apps, u can't expect much. nokia symbian is outdated. Samsung win in social networking/browser/games/apss. If u'r wife is journalist/personal business/whatsoever, samsung is great. snap photo then share instantly. With nokia u can't get much.. just photo

another thing,picture for social netwoking or for print it ?
if for social netwoking ,i suggest u galaxy,
for picture quality of kos pure can win due to his big megapixel,but for social networking only need 8 megapixel for nice picture quality.
if you want to be pro photographer for wedding or sumthing else,for that issue,u can purchase big megapixel camera.haha just kidding. :)
i choose galaxy,because can straigt away download to social networking,and can be edit with cool app on the spot before uploading..
