Make sure you know what ... moreOptical zoom compromises quality as well, at least when taliking about tiny sensor, because when you use optical zoom the amount of light that arrives at the sensor is less than without using zoom. Nokia 808's sensor is larger than Samsung Galaxy Camera's sensor, the aperture is bigger and the qulity of Carl Zeiss lenses can't be compared with cheap Samsung lenses..

I want this kind of spec for my smartphone.
I love things that can do everything im interested in.
If they add Calling and SMS functionality or if they or some 3rd party will sell a Calling and SMS plug and play device, or a call & txt app, then id say, ill sell my iphone4s and my pureview to buy this one.
Well, i believe i can still do calls(if it has a mic port) and text via Viper App (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.viber.voip&feature=related_apps#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEwOSwiY29tLnZpYmVyLnZvaXAiXQ..)
I wish they added a pico projector too like in galaxy beam.

1.Battery is ridiculously small.
2.Why does it have a huge zoom ? Wouldn't a 3x zoom, with a higher quality lens, have been better ?

Of course this device comes with the slot for sim card guys. It works on 3G and 4G networks.

lossless zoom is like in pureview where in even digital zoom, there is no loss of quality..
but anyways if sensor is small as in Galaxy Camera, there will be loss of a bit quality even in optical zooM!!
and you know what.. next time you open your mouth, you better think twice!!

Samsung Should have release such type of phone. Why not just add the SIM card place to this camera, so it can be used as phone too.
I hope Samsung will thik about it and release such phone with great camera quality

you must use cover for lens otherwise it must be flopped because if the lens is uncovered then result must be affected

Have you personally tried it before?
Even reviews in GSM Arena have said that PV have great quality image even in full resolution.

Make sure you know what your saying. Unlike digital zoom, the lens itself is the one that focus. Not like in digital zoom where in the picture will be crop to enlarge it. This camera has built in effects to enhance picture. Check out the demo. I seen it on another site. You can take pictures with a quality like the one who took the picture is a pro. You can zoom it at its max without losing any quality. And unlike the Pure View, you can take high quality pictures at max resolution. Pure View has bad pics when you take it at the max resolution.
And don't just judge it without seeing the sample pics and reviews. You'll be astonished when you see its samples.
I also don't like this at first but seeing the samples change my mind. The reason it is quad core is because of its effects and filter in the camera app. It can put effects and filter at the same time in just a second.
