As a friend i will never advice you to spend ur money on this hand set even if u get it at half of price.
Had bought Samsung Core in October 2013. Sorry to say but this was really not expected from Samsung that too after spending Rs. 13250/- for a smart phone.
The phone gives endless troubles, after complaining i was been told by Samsung Gallery to get the phone formatted which again didnt helped nor did it served purpose, rather after getting it formatted it started getting hanged, more off the key pad makes life troublesome. Handset gets heated up during long calls & as per my work the phone calls doesnt ends before 2-3 minutes each, at the end of call it scares me if the phone will burst out. Battery consumption is so very high that even after keeping screen resolution at lowest the battery drains very fast. Mobile data has to kept off so as to avoid getting battery used. Whats the use of the phone if one has to keep all the available features off. As some1 said it earlier the radio does not change its stations through Headphone. Most ridiculous Network goes off in no network zone but doesnt comes back automatically when back in Network Zone untill u restart the phone.
Have been using mobile phones even samsung since years but never have faced any problems which is been faced by this handset.
Can anybody suggest any better phone, would like to discard off this one.
Please advice on email@example.com or 9870999198

Its price gonna be decresed. Coz moto G is available in india now. 8gb 12.5k 16gb 14k. But it is available only at flipkart.com. It wil be sold from tomorrow. If samsung does not cut cores price then no one will buy core, if he or she r not a fool. Coz moto Gs spec is far better than core. Think once before buy core.
thnx for ur response...then should i go for galaxy s duos 2...????
Very bad choice...I have been using this for a month, have to restart at least once a day...lags quite a lot...touch sensitivity is very bad...Very disappointed :(

loki, 03 Feb 2014Samsung galaxy core not good hand set it'll automatically restart many times the service cente... moreJust go to the nearest Samsung Service Centre. They will check it for you.
If you ever do rooting, then you may not get your warranty. Rooting with wrong software or steps may cause problems with the phone.
It's a worthy smartphone with the budget. You can't compare it with different class of smartphone for sure. For example, with similar budget, you may get a local or alternate brand of Quad Core smartphone, but usually only comes with 512 MB RAM and 4 Gb ROM. It looks fast, but wont give you enough room for your applications. Alternatively, for sure you can do rooting with your own risk. Still, if you are using low class micro SD, I think it will slow down your smartphone.
For anyone who is asking that if Core is worthy to buy? I can say "Yes". But if you have a budget around 1.000US$, then you can get the best smartphone in the market right now : S4, Iphone 5S, Sony Z Ultra, HTC One X, etc. Just be realistic and follow your guts, friend.
pasin, 03 Feb 2014I have same problem too, is there any solution? The radio it's worked with various headset, even with portable speaker. Don't you forget to turn it on?
If you can't hear anything trough the headset, there is two possible problems. One is the headset damage, second is the jack malfunction.
Samsung galaxy core not good hand set it'll automatically restart many times the service center is not responding

sunil, 03 Feb 2014sir,
plz suggest me between galaxy core I8262 and htc 501 dual sim Samsung has been facing a stiff competition in the Indian smartphone arena by the likes of Micromax, Xolo , Karbonn and a slew of Chinese mobile companies. It has been losing out to them off late in some segments and in a bid to gain back the lost share, the company has started slashing the prices of its smartphones.
The recent devices to receive a price cut are Galaxy S Duos, Galaxy Core and Galaxy Mega 5.8.
The company is calling it the Galaxy Own offer and it is valid till August 31 but we think that the devices will surely sell at the revised pricing even after that.
The Galaxy S Duos which has been selling for Rs 12,190 gets a major price revision and will now cost Rs 9,990 instead. The Galaxy Core has had its price dropped from Rs 15,690 to Rs 13,200. The biggest smartphone of the lot, the Galaxy Mega 5.8 will now sell for Rs 23,400 instead of the Rs 25,100 it was initially launched at.
The smartphones are being offered at a 0 percent EMI scheme for 6 months. The company is also waiving off the processing fees. The devices can be bought off the company’s eStore or other leading e-commerce and offline stores as well.
Samsung has been constantly introducing offers to boost the sales of its devices. It had announced an exchange offer for the Galaxy Note 2 earlier under which it was offering the device for Rs 27,500 in exchange for your older smartphone.
It also introduced an exchange offer for the Galaxy S4 which is still going on. Under this scheme, the device is being offered for Rs 34,500 instead of Rs 41,500 in exchange of your old smartphone. But if you see, the device is on sale for Rs 35,500 anyhow so giving away your older smartphone does not really make sense.
Samsung is pushing towards bringing something for everybody and the schemes will surely help the company’s cause.
