anyone updated their e5 to the official lollipop OTA update? Care to share what are the changes? Pros and Cons?
This is one Samsung I regreted buying. Too expensive for the quality and features it provides. Extremely poor body casing, lousy battery, average camera, cant get it off viration. Samsung should apologise to the public and do a total recall
If the battery got spoilt will we enable to change it, can u please help me?
it has non-removal battery. if I realize any problem with battery like heating up or ending up charge so fast, etc. than is it possible to change battery? and fix it right?
Can anyone tell me the "increase touch screen sensitivity" feature will remain even after the update or not
[deleted post]Tnx for the info really appreciated. Just automatically updated?
Cj, 07 Aug 2015How yo update samsung e5 to lollipop? Pls teply tyit depends on which country u r on.
So far, the official lollipop OTA update released by samsung is for Russia and India only. Other regions will follow in the coming weeks, hopefully by monday.
But there is another way of getting the update by manually installing it thru ODIN. you can find the instructions and needed files in sammobile website. However there are risks that can damage your device should you choose to manually update. I myself is waiting for the official OTA update for my country. Dont wanna brick my phone. ;)
For galaxy e5 users out there:
If ever you encounter your galaxy e5's battery draining more than normal even without using it, like 1% or more decrease even when idle - then just restart your device. This worked out with me, my galaxy e5 was acting up - the battery drains even when not used. I tried several things to find the cause, but the matter was left still unknown. Then i tried rebooting, then viola! everything went back to normal. Maybe there is some app syncing in the background causing the unexplained battery drain. I'm just glad i was able to fix it. =)
Aayan , 06 Aug 2015All superb ...but if I use Internet after 5 min starts heating..After 30 min it's too hot. ... moredude, make sure that there are no heavy apps running in the background when you use the net in galaxy e5 as this tends to overburden the processor and ram usage which likewise means heavier battery usage and that will heat up the phone more than the usual. Also disable GPS and bluetooth, and disable sync for apps if not needed, these things will also heatup your phone because of heavier strain on the battery.
Jay, 07 Aug 2015Tell is this phone nice? which is better grand prime or e5?dude, grand prime is in the low-range unlike e5 which is in mid-range line-up of samsung. Screen resolution and technology also trumps the grand prime by the more superior e5, 720p amoled (e5) versus the lower lcd type (grand prime). Everything else follows suit - processor, ram, camera, etc. Go for the galaxy e5, its has the more bang for the buck.
Zain 07, 06 Aug 2015All superb ...but if I use Internet after 5 min starts heating..After 30 min it's too hot. ... moreYes, it happened to my E5 also. I guess it is normal to all mobile phones to heat up especially when your using data connection.
