Samsung has churned out several Galaxy S5 versions already but it's not nearly done. The Samsung G901F received its Bluetooth certification and of course there are speculations that it's the mysterious Galaxy F.
The Galaxy S5 model numbers are based on G900 – G900 is the international model, G900H is the Exynos one and G900F is the Korea-only Galaxy S5 LTE-A. If the F letter indicates a Snapdragon 805 chipset (as H indicates Exynos 5422) then what's the extra 1 for?
A safe guess would be an international version of the Galaxy S5 LTE-A, it happened to the Galaxy S4 LTE-A, which was similarly Korea-only at first. Samsung already put a QHD Super AMOLED and the latest Snapdragon chipset on the S5 LTE-A, what more could they add?
The Samsung Galaxy F was rumored to have a premium metal body and we've seen several photos claiming to be the Galaxy F. Now there's a new contender for the throne, which looks almost exactly like the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 (with a metal rim but faux plastic back).
Along with the photos come alternative specs for the "Samsung Galaxy F Alpha" – 4.7" 1080p Super AMOLED, Exynos 5 Octa chipset, 12MP camera and a slender 6mm thick frame. This would make the F Alpha a compact flagship rather than a Galaxy S5 alternative. Keep in mind that Samsung execs are still denying the existence of a Galaxy F.
