Samsung Android Rumors

The Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 is already in active development, and rumors have started pouring from South Korea once again. According to this one insider, the new foldable device will come in two colors that were initially prepared for the first Fold - Martian Green and Astro Blue.

The phone will have a slightly bigger screen but will keep the form factor, as well as the folding technology. However, one big difference will be the weight of 229 grams - which is nearly 15% lighter than the 263 g weight of the Galaxy Fold.

The rumor also says there is no room for an S-Pen and Samsung is not planning to implement any - it will use the same manufacturing lines to build the Galaxy Fold 2. This will help the company yield more units, as it expects the demand to be higher.

However, with the current coronavirus situation and the uncertainty across global markets, there might be no change to the number of sales, even if the whole manufacturing process is cheaper. There are also expectations that the Galaxy Fold 2 might arrive with various memory combinations in order to lower the price tag a bit.

Also the plastic layer over the screen inside is easily scratched.

Get rid of the stupid camera setup on the inside. A slightly angular design would be preferable along with flat surfaces, don't make it round and bulgy. Larger external screen is a good idea. Also I think UTG must be a given.

As long as the footprint doesn't get bigger, I don't really care about the S-pen. If the phone gets bigger physically when folded, then this is a complete fail and defeats the whole purpose of making foldables.
