Anonymous, 24 Aug 2011which one is better galaxy mini or galaxy gio???of course, galaxy gio...
comparing ace and gio what is the real difference? except the screen size, and camera?is there anything worth to have such a different price?
I guess ace might even have much more battery issue with a bigger screen and 5 mpixel camera with the same 1350 mAh battery right?

There's one problem I encountered after I updated my Gio to 2.3.3(Gingerbread).My Gio takes a little bit more to wake up. It used to wake up(When i press Home button and the phone lights up) faster on 2.2(Froyo).Does anyone know anything/have solution to this issue?
finally i also got galaxy gio .i ts really amazning set and ala android applications .umah
It's a very stable phone, system and when falling it can have it. Sold in Holland for 159€ at Saturn, it's simlockfree cause it's paralellimport sometimes the homepage of provider must be put in by hand. Works good, has trouble keeping a 3g connection when edge2g signal is closer/much stronger. Put preference on only 3G and your problem is finished. Keeps a small screen and not lightweight
AnonD-4053, 17 May 2011I have used both Gio and Optimus One. Samsung Gio wins in terms of speed, no doubt. But apart ... moreGood review... In addition, Optimus One has 512Mb RAM while Gio has 278Mb (???, something surely less than 512Mb). Thus, for flash playback, you will definitely see the difference in RAM usage. Actually, hardwar-wise, Optimus One has better "ingredient" than Gio. Both Optimus One and Gio use exactly the same processor (MSM7227) except the processor in Gio has been overclocked by Samsung from 600MHz to 800MHz. Since Gio has an overclocked processor with a 10% smaller battery (1350mAh), it's the reason why the battery life is so short. GPU-wise, it's the same for both Adreno 200 since it's the same chipset anyway.
In short, if you root an Optimus One and set the CPU to 800MHz like the Gio, Optimus One will work like Gio except it has more RAM & longer battery life.
