Grand2 having bigger screen but it's quality is just average.
Thats why samsung always gives bigger screen than what its competitors offers.
Now in quad core 18k range segment competitors either giving 4.7 or 5 where as samsung giving 5.25
5 inch screen more than sufficient.
5.25 inch is difficult to carry.
Science says as the screen size increases chances of getting it damage by unnecessary falls or extra pressure are increases.especially when screen dont have any protection like corning gorilla or shatterproof glass.
Thats why there are many cases of grand2 broken screens.Shame on samsung at such a high price they are not giving gorilla glass protection. May be samsung want to see many broken screen so that they could earn good amount through their service centres.
I would not take risk to carry such a big screen size mobile (without gorilla glass) in my trousers pocket. Because a little pressure could break it.
Always Keep in mind bigger screen doesn't mean better screen

Samsung' s chrome ring colour fade away in few days and handset looks old.
Does its glossy plastic made outer body feels very premium . Definitely not.
Samsung is always criticised for its built quality and design. Have you seen xiomi redmi or mi3? In actual Not on internet.
I have seen. They have mattefinish body which doesn't feel cheap at all.And if you see mi3 it is much better looking than grand 2.
Ergonomically design of samsung mobiles more prone to slips.
Sony, htc and nokia devices are always better in looking than samsung's.
Check on internet experts review about samsung's built quality and design.
Xiomi have expandable memory card slot and removable battery.
Dont compare mi3 with grand 2 as mi3 is far superior.
You can see users rating about samsung mobiles on gsmarena.I haven't seen any Samsung mobile has rating of 8 in design, features and performance.Most of them have less points for design
While many sony and nokia sets have above 8 ratings.
Don't know about xiomi s overheating problem but many samsung mobiles have this overheating issue.
I have used s plus and s3 both of them had it.I had installed 2 xbattery app used to show me the temperature. While charging temperature would go on as high as 49 Celsius if u are not using it and if u browsing while charging it used to increase as high as 60 celcius at which charging used to turn off automatically.

Your talking as if samsungs service centre are really customer oriented and sony's are customers enemy.
Please dont generalise based on one or two experiences.
Sony is known for its bugless stable roms.
Samsung s advance jelly bean update was total failure. After updating almost all the customers felt the issue of serious sluggish and slow system and fast battery drain. And samsung never addressed this issue.
Never bring any stable update.Many customers either drop the idea of updating to jb or downgrade their from jb to gingerbread. This is 100% true incidence check on internet.

In my city resale value of grand2 is not more than 10000.Instead of buying second hand overpriced mobile people prefers to buy new low budget mobile.
In my city s4 is available at resale value of rs.15000, so people have bought for 40k , bearing 25k loss.
Just buying any overpriced mobile in the hope of getting better resale value is the total useless and defensive attitude. Your getting yourself deprived of using better mobile just in hope of getting better resale value.

My opinion this hand set is very costly but i would buy this grnad-2 samsung set within a few days. but am afraid of it doesn't take more time charge. maximum multimedia set won't be longer charge. so, i view Battery should be most powerful which is at least two or three days by taking one time charge.

Yesterday i had an experience when i was playing a game .I felt a shock of current from my mobile . i was holding the cell and it was heat up because of usage. However it was not on the charging as it already had 455 charging remained. As i received the current it meditate drop from my hand . This is the second time happened to me . And the situation is similar as it happened first time 2 months back .Can any body tell why it is happening?

A day ago when i was playing a game on my cell it gave a little shock of current and i through it immediately. At that time my phone was not on charging and of course in my hand and it was heating up because of usage. However it had more than 45% of charging at that time.
This happened to me second time and the same scenario was at the first time as well. Can any body tell why is it so?

Grand2 is nice phone but Battery is pathetic. I need to charge it twice a day. Need to keep my charger with me all the time. Please dont buy if you need good battery back up..Bad experience

I got it why such discussions convert into debate. Its just because some people who already bought a phone can't accept that it was not a good buy. I am not at all saying that grand 2 is bad cell or other cell is better than this but all i want to say is that at some point of time if a phone is a good buy and good value for money then after some time its not. Its not going to be the best forever. This technology market is progressing at a very quick pace so only one product cant be expected to be the best buy for a very long period of time. Most of the users are satisfied with grand because they bought it when it was a good buy for its price but change is inevitable and we have to accept that there are better options available now. Same goes for every other brand. Moto g is expected to be a good buy at its price right now but it will not be same after some period of time because better options will be there. So its all about - At the time of buy is that particular phone a best buy or not.? So before buying do a proper search and check for every detail so that you can get best out of your money.

People go with xiaomi for the cheap price , not the quality , I can tell you keep a xiaomi for sale the 13k one , and grand 2 , ur grand 2 will fetch better price as xiaomi is a non starter , but yes , if xiaomi was available , I would purchase it nevertheless as it dirt cheap , though storage and non removable battery I would take with pinch of salt , but if you see xiaomi review on flipkart , users complain it as hot as toaster , cheap quality outer case etc. which tells of quality , but at that price anyone can forgo these things. And yes if you purchase xiaomi , and any defect , ur phone is useless, as minimum repairs will be expensive as you will have to get it done from unauthorised source , or service station if good in service , then ur lucky , another thing it is available very rare on flipkart , u can't spend ages to obtain a mobile , therefore xiaomi is difficult to argue for , the same reason goes to lg pro , I also went to search for this very model , and it was not available outside ( I don't believe much in ecomm. Sites as they are know to provide defective handsets read flipkart and was not available there also ) , lg l90 was available but couldn't go for low screen space - 4.7 and grand 2 had perfect 5.25 inch else if there was an alternative I would go with that brand. Xperia t2 ultra was too big , was wary of Sony support ( your friend is an odd good customer service example ) , let me tell you Xperia t2 had some defects were people felt need to replace for which they did not repair phone , instead they did not admit their fault , where as I was able to replace my grand 2 (auto brightness issue ) phone once , the next grand 2 phone I got fortunately received next day update which sorted out issue.
Forget S.A.R. Rating I have told you it's a really small issue. But I must admit Samsung has generally less S.A.R. Value. Again please do note Samsung has core , grand neo , grand , ace , galaxy y whereas Sony has only Xperia line up of 5-6 phones total , therefore Samsung phones to not receive update are literally double , it shows have quick and advanced Samsung is at releasing mobile hardware , ( just telling you known fact not praising Samsung ) , and again there processors are all similar to Broadcom 1.2 ghz dual core , or some low gen snapdragon , whose direct competitors are not present or barely know to compare software updates , whereas Sony ( gsmarena has taunted Sony as giving there software department holiday ) has Xperia c as a direct example , whereas the same Lenovo p780 and other same processor models have got android 4.4 and to tell you Lenovo ui is extremely heavy than Xperia , and at same price range as Xperia c and still update was not released by Sony , even Xperia sp with more powerful 1.7 ghz cortex a11 ( s4 pro ) dual core with powerful gpu adreno 320 was denied kitkat.
What I am saying is Samsung grand 2 processor is shared with many smartphones , and coupled with 1.5 gb ram it will not have much excuse like it did with s3 , in fact , it will bare open Samsung poor software cycle , and lg poor software update cycle is know , but let us not go into that. Htc is even poor in this regard , specially in mid range. I do get a feeling it might go till android L as last update , but I will not confirm unless Samsung actually does It.
Sony has gone down to cost cutting with li ion but most of these phone still use li poly .

Motorola, xiomi, lenovo they dont have much business in india so their service centres are limited but you will find atleast one service centre in city.But customers are ready to take risks, because they are paying much less for mobile devices.
Best example xiomi sold their redmi 1s twice on flipkart. And both the times mobiles sold out in a second.Same happened with the mi3.I tried my luck clicked within a second but couldn't get success. Risk is worth taking if the device is available at three times lesser cost than big brands with the same specifications(grand 2).
And thats what customers are doing.
Hats off to xiomi teaching a lesson to overpriced brands who want to establish monopoly by overspending on advertisement.
Regarding service quality I don't think except apple others are so great.Sony , samsung almost have same kind of service, u have to wait a lot if your mobile has serious problem. If not repairable they gives you another refurbished mobile not new one . Refurbished definitely used by someone else might have usage marks on screen and body.
So dont expect too much from service centres.
All these are facts and its my genuine endeavours to make people aware of the facts.

Sony is not using lipo batteries anymore. They used in their few devices two years ago.Presently they are using liion.
Regarding non removable batteries. I don't think they are difficult to replace. Actually battery lasts more than year if u use it properly. Its not difficult to visit service centre once in year.
For battery replace service centre does this in few hours or in day.This is the priority work for them.My friend replace his xperia s' s in few hours. Gave it in service centre at 11 a.m.and got back at 5:30pm.And for replacing it service centre dont charge extra cost.
If u have a bit confidence u can replace it yourself.On youtube step by step video's available.
Not all sony, htc, nokia devices have non removable batteries.
Even xiomi redmi 1s rs.6k device (have similar hardware of grand2) have removable battery.
So I don't think so non removable battery should be considered as a big factor while buying.

You got the no... moreRegarding S.A.R.i had searched a lot on it two years ago when micromax was highly criticised for its high s.a.r. After all research I came to conclusion that any s.a.r value below 1.6w/kg (for india) is not at all harmful. Even if you use mobiles with s.a.r value of 1.5 for lifetime it will not harm you at all.So what's the problem, every manufacturer has sar value below 1.6.
Xiomi redmi 1s having s.a.r.of 1.2 which is very acceptable.
Regarding lg g pro , I just compare it because one member hasim asked twice which one is better. Otherwise I never compare different segment devices.
