After updating to Android 4.4.2 KitKat on my galaxy grand 2 (7102), I experienced improvement in battery standby time. Fortunately, I did not experience any of the update/after update problems mentioned by other users.

Hello guys just update grand 2 to latest version 4.4.2 kitkat. Its epic fast, no hanging just beautiful . Dont worry upgrading will never effect RAM nor its speed as it approved by SAMSUNG .And morover it has a great ram s9 no worry. Its work with lightning speed possesing 4.4.2 kikat operating system. I am just suprised.........HOPE in future samsung also grand 2 with 5.0 Lolypop OS

Hey guyz im grand 2 user . Im facing problem in 1)changing lock screen wallpaper after kitkat update. Only wallpaper im able to set is one with red background none other wallpaper is applied in lock screen . Live wallpapers are able to set but simple wallpaper or pics from gallery are not set... 2) a red spot is visible when the screen turns black in background..spot is in the middle of the phone its about 0.4cm but it vanishes when the background is coloured .. is it fault of the screen?? Suggest me something

Prince, 20 Jul 2014Hello.i m using grand 2.i updated my phone via wifi to kitkat 4.4.2..then while watching video... moreThose who are facing restarting problem after upgrading to kitkat version just like me plz do the following steps...
1.switch of the phone.
2.Again start the phone and when the phone displays the model name like samsung galaxy grand 2 at that time, just keep pressing volume key downward side till the homescreen appears.
3.after that you will find a black strip in the bottom left corner saying you are in safe mode and you will get message that phone is updated..
4.Restart the phone again and enjoy...

I have upgraded my Galaxy Grand 2 by latest update kitkat 4.4.2. After upgrading i have problem with my front camera resolution. the higest 1.9M front camera image is getting compressed or expanded.
please give me any solution to get back to original 1.9M camera clearity if any setting change happens after upgrading ??

You would get much better pictures without any grains. However, night mode cannot be used if object is moving since it would give hazy photo.

[deleted post]There is an option to backup all the apps in Google server, but I haven't tried it. If Data bandwidth is an issue, you can use an app called Super Backup to create backup of all the apps in your SD Card as apk file. After your phone is factory reset, you can install all those apks.
