Anonymous, 16 Jul 2014buy xperia zr instead. its for 24K maybe. or go for moto xZR is a hot plate with a bad camera.. Also it wont have any updates after Kitkat.. End of support cycle..
Moto X is fine.. Or opt for any new devices in the same price range..

DO NOT ... I REPEAT .. DO NOT update to 4.4
As stated by many users the same s#it happened to me. The phone restarts exactly every 2 mins whether it is engaged or idle. Its not due to some apps as i don't have any useless or untrustworthy app in my phone. The release itself is buggy which is admitted by a senior manager of a samsung RnD team which was luckily visiting the authorized service center where I took my phone. They have kept the phone and have promised to give it back tomorrow... god knows. But they were gracious enough to provide a brand new decent phone as a backup for the time being...##appreciated.
P.S. The manager of the RnD team also categorically mentioned not to accept & install any updates via OTA and always visit a service center for updates as the OTA process is very likely to mess up the phone during installation.

I just updated my mobile to kitkat. Since then it gets restarted again and again. When ... moresame problem here Fixed restarting issue but call related problem is still there, its not visible on screen and also not being recorded in call log,during call message is being flashed "unfortunately com.android.phone has stopped.
for restarting related issue i just un-installed all lock related and useless applications and tried to reset in factory mode, but could not reset in factory mode but magically restarting, charging and side button related issue solved. now i can call but can not see the no. on screen also unable to disconnect call.

My brother buy sony compact z and i think just on 1.5k but its worth it because the camera totally awesome and i buy my grand2 aroung 1.2k i think and the camera just got so pity. Huhu

Before kitkat update my grand 2 full 100% charging in 7-8 hours & after kitkat update its 100% charging in 2 hours 45 minuts and my mobile awesome performance after kitkat update.

I didn't notice it earlier since I tried only the live wallpapers. If you use the option "Home and Lock screen" and select live wallpapers then it works(the wallpaper changes on both home screen and lock screen). But using static wallpapers doesn't work- it always goes back to the default wallpaper in lock screen.

I have read that Galaxy Grand 2 got kitkat update in India. I have updated yesterday which is of 360.90 MB update. After updating I noticed only two problems that lock screen wall paper is not changing and also while unlocking screen lags for a second like displaying blank screen. Except that I dont find anything problematic. How to solve these problems. Does reset help?

Himanshu, 16 Jul 2014some days before i am using samsung galaxy grand 2 plz tell me sir if i upgrade my os 4.3 to 4... morehi himanshu.. i upgraded my grand2 in 4.4.2 but i faced problems like .. my device restarting again again in every one minute..but i searched on net and got d solution..done one one thing pressed at a time (simultaneous) volume up+ power key+home key
then choosed reboot system...
and my device is now performing fast than 4.3 .. so plz dont hesitate to upgrade...just do it...and experience the fastness
