You guys if still under warranty and unfortunately find yourself with an unstable kit kat updates can either bring phone back to Samsung Service Centre to see if they can help you undo & roll back to previous version. The reason why some people experiences problems while some are doing fine is because everyone of us install our own combination of different Apps & programs that react differently to the variant of kitkat update specific to your phone. Those people who always wants the latest Android version should stick with Google Nexus devices which is earliest to receive updates & more likely to have more App developers already updating their Apps that you install in your phone as compatible to the latest Android version & thus less buggy. Its not because the Samsung kit kat version is lousy or not ready and Samsung just push it to you. Because some people who install the same updates as you do not experience any negative effects on their phones as they do not have those Apps that you download that maybe not so compatible with this Samsung Kit kat Environment yet thus more buggy when running in the Kit Kat environment. Alternatively, you can slowly troubleshoot which of your Apps are affecting your kit kat updates negatively then uninstall them. It always take at least a year, more often longer before latest Android OS is made very compatible with most Apps because the individual App developers need time to fix the compatibility bugs that their Apps have with the different variant of Kit Kat updates yet. As of now, the most newest Android version that has the widest compatibility with most Apps would still be 4.2 version. Android 4.3 is fine with most Apps as well. kit kat probably will only have more Apps compatible by next year. Hope this help explains.

My grand 2 is getting restart continuesly after upgrading with kitkat ....totally waste update for grand 2 ....bullshit ...what to do now

i started upgrading my phone and download completed but while installing it completed 31% and noticed error what to do

Solution for frequent restart plz give a try::
press volume up + home button + power button simultaneously... it will go to recovery boot.. from there use volume buttons to scroll down to wipe cache partition and select it by pressing the power button...then select reboot system now.. NO COMMAND message will be displayed but nothing to worry..

siddhss, 15 Jul 2014hello hello hello ....its emergency and it urgent...i upgraded my grand2 in kitkat 4.4.2......... morei faced the same problem dude.just backed up my data.went to the nearest samsung service center.they just formatted my phone and installed the kitkat rom for free.no having no issues.

I haven't faced any issues in last 3 months of usage. Sometimes 3G signal is weak in some area. In those areas you can put the network mode to "GSM only" (i.e. 2G mode). This should solve your signal tower problem.

k, 15 Jul 2014Both are good dual sim phones,htc has bigger camera and screen.Big problem network 0 - 3 (4) tower not full in all time.compare other mobile display in one place.pls help me imedeatly.i am stay in near tower.

Kitkat update - worst for grand 2
I cannot make or receive calls. Cannot change my lock screen wallpapers. Google acct not getting synced. Google chrome crashing. Cannot use internet. Its too slow. Factory reset solves all for a few time but den d same continues.
Pls dont upgrade till fixed.

Hello guys I got d solution of 4.4.2 upgrade problem
Switch off your mobile and charge full batter
Then press at a time volume up button + power button+ home button
Then choose reboot system
Then will solve your problem

Yesterday my phone automatically , started downloading 360.9 mb , i cancelled the download , as i though to get review of Kitkat knowing it is the most problematic OS update in history of Android ( See Nexus 5 issues ).
Should i update to Kitkat or are all users of Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 with this update facing issues.

Samsung gives worst service my battery ISN'T charging fully i have been daily going to Samsung service center but to no avail. I would never recommend or buy any samsung from now onwards. My reference id with Samsung is 8461833048

As many cooks spoil the broth same way Samsung do that to mix his software to android software to make a cocktail of bad taste. If Samsung peoples have no such capability to do it why they experiment with stock android. They will release it as stock android as Motorola do and release it quickly and not to wait so long to spoil the broth.
