Android 4.4.2 Kitkat is the best for Samsung Grand 2 it's very stable don't be fooled by updating to lollipop via rooting lot if problem u have to face.For me android 4.4.2 version of kitkat is best suited for galaxy Grand 2.

Anonymous, 06 Sep 2015Grand 2 cannot be upgraded. It runs on 32bits unlike 64bits build on Grand Prime. That is why ... moredevelopers from XDA Developers already ported Cyanogenmod 12.1 (Lolipop 5.1.1) to Grand 2 and its working very smooth, so Lollipop can very well run on 32 bit devices.

It runs on 32bits unlike 64bits build on Grand Prime. That is why Grand Prime now able to run Lollipop 5.0.2 & 5.1.1. But, regular patch updates will still comes to Grand 2. Btw, notices how Samsung don't release any new Grand series smartphone this year. Usually they made an announcement before September. There should be rumors device at least.

Or buy a new phone if it is old. Since you unrooted it don't tell the service centre you had rooted it before or they wouldn't fix it for you. Rooted phone usually have invalid warranty anyway.

N.B. :- Its been happening since I rooted the phone. Although I unrooted it, the problem persists.

If Samsung doesn't upgrade Grand 2, Samsung will loose twice the number of customers than grand prime who have twice the purchasing power of grand prime, maximum of whom will never buy a samsung phone again with twice the price of other brands... the choice is of course of Samsung only... already loosing so much loyal fans...

And samsung galaxy grand 2 as far as my concer does not hangs up but shows certain lag while playibg heavy game like Imortals and asphalt 8. Othervise there is no issue regarding samsung galaxy grand 2
