Remember that this is a 1.2GHZ Quad code CPU with 1.5GB RAM- so it would definitely get warm. Nowadays in Snapdragon chipset Baseband modem is integrated with CPU so that creates more problem of heat and samsung has made Grand 2 thinner than Grand- so that also is another issue.
People had complained about heating issue even in S4 -so that's a common issue with Samsung smartphones nowadays!
Anyway, I would check the maximum temperature during various usage conditions and update here in few days.
alokeb, 20 Mar 2014Hello johnpaul1196, first of all I haven't faced any serious heating issue till now, but even ... moreOr as a even more cheaper option you can get what is called as "Silicon gelly Case" from any mobile accessory shop(or from ebay). That would typically cost around 200-300 Rs. I have used the Gelly case before I got this special flip cover from ebay and even that Silicon Gelly Case would fit behind the original back cover so that also helps. Only disadvantage is your phone won't look so nice as the one without any gelly case!
AnonD-244059, 20 Mar 2014Flipcover solved your heating issue????Hello johnpaul1196, first of all I haven't faced any serious heating issue till now, but even if it gets heated the special type of flip cover I have mentioned would make it more comfortable to hold the phone since this flip cover snaps behind the original phone back cover. This flip cover is made of leather which is a good insulator so you won't feel the heat as much.
I have bought grand 2 from flipkart, this is my first smartphone so i was so exited when buying but now facing warming up during normal use also... is this phone problem???? Please reply....

Xperia C phone uses the Mediatek processor used commonly by Micromax/Karbonn/Xolo etc. Mediatek processors have good processing power and good GPU(so they might beat mid range Samsung phones in benchmark), but their software drivers won't be so stable as Qualcomm software drivers- so there would be software bugs. We can see the Xperia C forum in gsmarena and already people have complained about some battery issue which is very common in Xperia C.
I had seen the Xperia C in showroom and it looks very nice. Solid build but didn't go for it mainly because of Mediatek processor and only 4GB internal memory.
In fact, in the same price range(

It's also a very good choice if dual SIM is not required. But currently in dual SIM Grand 2 and of course , Moto G are one of the best phones available. Moto G doesn't have SD card- so some people may not prefer it.

bcoz xperia c having a chiness processor like micromax , karbon
and low ram and worest display just 480p(only mp4 supported) not a high definition no bravia engine support still no software updates (4.2 os only) very pure popularity so dont go for the xperia c ( if you are a sony fan?) then go for xpeeria sp bcoz the sp having just dual core processer but perfomance is better than the xperia c otherwise grand 2 is far better than the sony devices
Ben willi, 17 Mar 2014Hello bro. Am using grand for 2 months now and am noticing some heating problem and it takes l... moreHello Ben, Yes, it should take about 3 hours to get charged fully using the 1Amp charger provided by Samsung with Grand2.
Simple calculation: Battery capacity is 2600mAH and max charging current is 1Amp (it would be actually a bit less than 1A). So to get 2600mAH you would need at least 2.6 Hours which means 2 Hours 36 mins. Since Actual current supplied by the charger would be at least 10-20% less, it would take around 3 hours time to get charged from 0% to 100%.
Note that if you are charging from Laptop USB port time would be almost double since laptop USB ports support max 500mA current- so it would take close to 6 Hours.
Also don't use any other non Samsung charger. Make sure you always use the original charger. Most of the low cost chargers available in market don't have 1Amp current rating.
