Please do not update your device to 4.4 or later.
The shameless google has imposed restrictions on SD card usage in android 4.4 onwards. Did anyone know about this?. Search google with the keywords 'microsd card access problem in android 4.4'. Then you will come to know.
The restrictions (when the memory card is used in android 4.4 (or later)) based mobiles* are :
> Cannot copy or move files and folders from internal memory to SD card.
> Cannot receive files to memory card (via WiFi or bluetooth)
> Can only download files (not via torrent softwares) to memory card.
> Cannot create a folder or sub folder in the SD card.
> Cannot copy or move files within the SD card.
> We can only read and format the SD card and set the storage for camera pictures and videos to SD card (not to specific folders, just in common).
> Usage of all file managers is restricted.
* means - not via card reader.

I was myself in confusion between note 2 and grand 2 but bought note 2 5 days back. Display of both the phones are nearly same. Note's colours are more saturated whereas grand's screen white level are better. Note is faster but graphic handling of grand 2 is slightly better but not by much due to better gpu. Its s pen feature is very handy sometimes. 4.3 update is available and samsung is also giving 4.4 update expected by april end. Hope my review is helpful.

I just... moreHi congrts! dude for kitkat its not compatble yet so dont try to upgrade in kitkat bcz only Note eligible for kitkat and if in future there is any chance for kitkat then samsung will let you know for the same.

Samsung had made a garbage of mobile like grand, grand2, s3 ace,etc and samsung is also cheater company samsung copies from apple,sony for example samsung copied water proof and dust proof idea for s5 from sony. .Such a cheap and cheater company samsung is.

So confused what shell i buy Note 2 or Grand 2 Or Sony ZL. all of them in appox. in same price and config. and i also want to get 4.4 update or may be further. also a good battery backup and i used to surf the net alot and thus having a Good Gpu and Good processor ( sd 400 or +) and more then 1Gigs of ram and 5" or more Disply and would be better for video plyback and Gaming. and also let me know if any better models you have in mind.
