I think this phone is decent overall....but if screen size is not a priority then better to go for xperia zr which is way better in every way. In case zr somehow proves beyond your budget then go for xperia sp or galaxy s4 mini.

[deleted post]Simply don't blame a phone for this. go to settings --> more --> application manager --> Swipe right to left on downloaded (you will get sd card, running and all) --> In all choose each application and choose force stop and choose disable (if such option is available).
Follow the above procedure to stop and disable unnecessary apps from running in the background. Then charge your mobile fully (till the '100% unplug the charger' status) and then observe the standby time.

karthik, 22 Jan 2014xperia sp is good except on one thing it has dual core grand 2 has quadcoreSony Xperia SP has dual core Krait 1.7GHz, which is definitely faster than Grand's quad core cortex A7 1.2GHz. Just look into the benchmarks for both. SP is better.
