a few things that increases the cost of mobiles are
i> more internal memory
ii> gorilla glass or any sort of protection
iii> super AMOLED or similar display technology
so samsung has to compromise these features to keep the cost down. One thing is android 4.3 will let you move apps to sd card.
overall as a midranger, its a very nice improvement.
