Plz anybody tell the procedure to update grand via kies. I m nt getting it clear that wether the phone should be in recovery mode when to connect kies or as it is. I have connected it to kies but now don't know how to proceed further.

I was satisfied when I bouught this phone... but afetr 3 months, I realised that I made a mistake. Mine along with all the people I know, have common complain that the phone hang like anything with very low battery backup.
tough the features are good. It hangs more while using skype.

I need tricks to increase backups...I have noticed huge battery backup improvement, by follwing :
Make auto sync disabled..... Thats it.

Hi guys.
Should you be having any problems on why your phone only connects to Edge and not able to get any HSDPA signal, you can follow these steps:
If you are using data on SIM 1:
1. Press the Phone Icon, go to keypad and enter *#197328640#
2. Once Service Mode options are up, select option 5.
3. Once Band Selection options shown, Select Option 2.
4. Once WCDMA options are available, select Option 1.
5. Press the back key twice and you should now be able to see H+ or H instead of E on the notifications bar.
If you are using data on SIM 2:
1. Press the Phone Icon, go to keypad and enter *#197328640#
2. Once Service Mode options are up, select option 6.
3. Once Band Selection options shown, Select Option 2.
4. Once WCDMA options are available, select Option 1.
5. Press the back key twice and you should now be able to see H+ or H instead of E on the notifications bar.

It could be that the phone hasn't been unlocked yet by the provider you've got the phone from. Although it's a dual-sim phone, your mobile provider might have network-locked the phone for both SIM cards. kindly check it with them. hope this helps! :)

I am not using net , music, video... even ... morei think some problem pls check it 1nce in Samsung care,
it s having battery back up em getting nearly 30hrs, 3g will be always in on in ma grand, and ill use it to talk nearly 2-3 hrs, normal browsing & chatting, if i use in 2g network ill get more than 35hrs, but at least daily once it'll be hang, after 5 to 10 min it'll be normal. but its really i feel grand to use grand.
