Really don't know which newer phone would be better.

after upgrade to 4.2.2 it is running more smoothly then previous ver. so go for it. just has one query my phone starts updating the applications automatically when ever i connect the wifi ..so please suggest how to disable the same

The screen display has increased to 185ppi to 240ppi so now the grand is looking very sharp and dark colors after 4.2.2 update.

Its suparb phone..I bought this 4 mnth ago..and it works seamlessly fast smoother and ..I am running out of words to describe dis awesome gadget! !! Worth buy.:)go 4 it.dont think anymore..just get it.

samsunggalaxy grand is very simple and quiqly.it is very controlable and big screen.people are lik it.So grand is buetiful.

Bought this phone on 12 July 2013. So far I am quite happy with it.
I must admit that after upgraded from 4.1.2 to 4.2.2 it lags and gave me some hard times. But after I did factory reset, it seems fine and quite smooth so far. Hope it stays healthy.
Very often I check the RAM and it stays between 400-500MB out of 804MB. One more thing, after the upgrade and reset, it seems that the screen resolution is much better but not sure why.
Conclusion : I will say it is quite a good phone.

Been using this phone for 4 months. Seriously a big disappointment. The lag is tremendous and very uncontrollable. And the battery only last 7-8 hours with continuous twitter and wechat only. A big applause to Samsung for making this stupid phone. If the iPhone 6 comes with larger screen, definitely I will go for it.
