samsung galaxy grand is really a good smart phone that i didnt expect before .. i prefer for iphone .. but i saw thi great phone .. before i bought it , i search and look for features on it on youtube and so many website just to make sure that this phone will fit for my own needs ..samsung galaxy grand is dual sim of course , but i didnt use the slot for the second sim .. when start using it and till now i dont see any problem about this .. nice graphics though it is not AMOLED display .. still the camear has a great quality if i am not mistaken this samsung galaxy grand have 8 mega pixel .. this is nice for this smart phone .. no problem for messaging , the music is very nice , the headset itself is nice too it has 3 different buds to fit on your ear . so just choose for yourself .. then the camera is nice too .. i didnt expect that there's PANORAMA EFFECT on the camera .. so it is very nice ..wallpapers are good too but if you are not satisfied with your wallpaper , you can download it on the web .. as an apple fan , samsung galaxy grand really amaze me , it has a bigger screen than iphones .. it really satisfied me .. so no doubts i bought this white samsung galaxy grand ..

the video playback sound is extremely low would not be able to hear the sound if kept 1 meter far and notification sound(msging) is also low sound

I took it to the service center. They said the motherboard is dead and i have to pay 1000!! to get it repaired as i have bought it from unauthorized dealer and Samsung don't provide hardware warranty. Your fone is actually stuck on the boot. Take it service center or ask them a replacement. It could be both hardware and software issue. Don't do anything with this fone by your own. Just take it to a service center. They may charge you some money if it's a only hardware issue. All the best

you can take backup of SMS by installing GOSMS from google play.everything is awesome eccepy hanging

I was confused after reading the -ve reviews of grand, but most of the mobile store's said to go with samsung as micromax has poor customer service and canvas hd had more complaints than grand.
Hence, I purhcased a new samsung grand in metallic blue color.
The experience is good. In 20k price, you can not expect display to be amoled. If you want such then better go for higher end samsung or sony phones.
I am using many apps which are needed for basic purpose and games like temple run too. The device did hanged once but it was due to linkedin app. When phone hangs, one should check the possible reasons than blaming samsung. Also, I would recommend to close the apps which are not required and adjust the screen brightness as per the requirement. I am using dual sim and with the said things, I am gettting a complete battery backup with descent no. of calls, videos, music.
Last but not least, the camera quality is far better than canvas hd and good as s2 and 1080p vidoe shoots are awesome.
Tip: while travelling, to increase battery backup enable power saver mode.
The only thing I would like to know is that 2g data packet turns off when sim 2 is in use, thought sim 1 data packet is in use.
Ideally, when sim 2 is in use for calling and sim 1 for data, sim 1 data should remain active. Please provide the solution or correct me if I am wrong.

This is my first Samsung Phone ,,,I think I like the phone ,,,the most important for me was the 2 sim feature, as I don't like carrying 2 phones ,,,pretty good with the features ,,I like it Samsung all e best ,

at first, i thought the was really perfect for me, with all the feature and specification of the smarthphone that i happened to review and see for myself. It actually is the right phone that i was looking for not until using it for about 6 weeks and it suddenly got 'COMPLETELY BLOCKED OUT" after charging for about 4hrs (apparently, as per recommendation),to my surprise the mobile wont no longer switched on and it really went on crazy and i just cant get over with it. initially, did power cycling the phone as basic trouble shooting,3 attempts and voila...the "ANDROID LOGO WITH A RED MARK ON IT" just ask me to do something which i can hardly understand...ask me to reboot,then done it and yet,nothing has change and it brought me back to the same screen,just the "android LOGO with RED mark on it".. I was really so shocked why did it happened. I then, brought it to the authorized service center where i bought the unit and guess what,i wasnt even advise what really went wrong. I was just told that they need to reprogram. So, i said,do what you have to do. The next i knew, they just advise me that it needs to be replaced with a new "mother board"...i was terrified and it sounded so ridiculous. how on earth that a new fone like samsung galaxy grand is freaking acting like that???!!!.. i wonder why does it have to happened when in fact..its a barely 7 weeks fone in use and out of nowhere, it needs to be replaced with mother board???...can someone share to me any experience like mine?or anyone here can tell me why and what happened>?am totally ripped and darn confuse....tsk tsk tsk...and imagine, even up until now, i havent got back my fone.....please help and enlightened me...this is a really a very sad and am very dissappointed with how samsung as a company would deal with this kind of issue....
