It has been over a week now with my Galaxy Grand. Let's start from the screen. It's of 5'' with WVGA resolution which is big enough to look at without hurting your eyes. Although i would have liked a 720p HD display unit with more pixels. Color reproduction isn't very accurate and viewing angles aren't very good.. Sometimes the screen goes all black and becomes normal soon but this happens most of times and i found it quite annoying. Sunlight visibility is very poor, you have to set the brightness to the maximum to see your screen in a sunny day. Build quality is fine, i am satisfied with it after putting a flip cover otherwise Grand was getting scratches and finger prints all over the body. Samsung could have at least given a gorilla glass protection. Sound quality is decent and clear but at the same time it isn't loud enough. Camera quality in outdoor and indoor in day is fine, just acceptable but in the night the camera isn't up to the mark. The phone resembles the design of Galaxy S3 and Note II which looks good. The dual core 1.2Ghz A9 processor is fine to run games but the graphics disappoints in this area. Of 1GB RAM, 653 MB is showing free which is enough to open 3-4 apps at a same time. I tried to run Riptide GP but after getting installed the game didn't run. The same game is running fine on my friend's Canvas HD. 2G browsing is very slow. 3G is fine. The default browser is restricted to Flash content. There are some lags and glitches whenever running more than one application, ex browser and music. The internal memory is just 3 GB after downloading a game, NOVA 3. When playing NOVA 3 i noticed some minor lags which caused the game to force close..Grand heats up to nearly 53 degree Celsius if you play a game or browse the Internet for an hour.. The battery is of 2100 mAh which gives decent amount of backup in average usage. The battery takes almost four hours to get charged fully which is just too much.. It will last one day if you don't play games on your phone for more than 30 or 40 minutes. There are some lags and restarts, and sometimes the UI misbehaves. Otherwise good phone. Keep a spare battery if you play a lot of games with your Galaxy Grand. If i had to rate it, I would give it 3 out of five. Some issues i faced: the display turns all black when unlocking but it becomes normal soon. This is happening every time. Battery backup just 5-6 hours. Restarts sometimes. Not all the games are running smoothly. Camera, dialer and phone book takes some time to open. Otherwise fine.

the phone is good, but you have to crack it ,otherwise you cannot install Move2sd apps. !!

I m using 3100 mAh chinese battery two days backup with heavy use.

This is an excellent move from samsung below 20k, i have bought this phone 1 month before. All the features are excellent, if somebody want's to change their mobile go for grand.

today iam comparid both convas hd and galaxy grand
the convas hd display is 5 times better than the galaxy and video perfomance is also 3 times better in convas and camera is equal on the both phones and gamming perfamonce is slightly better on galaxy but games are slightlu logging on galaxy
so i am decide yo sold to my galaxy and purchasing the convas
the convas is really amazing phone
and in convas sound quality is poor but you can download poweramp or rocket musicplayer or winamp in playstore
this players are give to 2times bettr quality from the galaxy
so dont wast to your money it is better to going on buy the micromax convas hd and save to 7,000rs

Good VERY GOOD BUT TWO REALLY VERY BAD PROBLEMS I.E. 1. Display in sunlight .2. And internal memory very low i.e. 3.98gb its given 8 gb but giving only this much only
