Dont give bad comment about this phone because this phone is really awesom it has broadcome processor and that is not bad this phone supports all the games i have tested on my phone no hang till now from last 3 monthsand display quality is also good coz it has real color reproduction and good built good battery back up and premium look i am totally satisfird with this phon ebecause it is goiving me all the thing which i have wanted dont give negative comments without using it...

It has brilliant display n browsing is very fast even in 2g also. I have bought it atfirst in confusion. But after buying it there is no more confusion. I am fully satisfied with it. Hey guys, i really am impressed with the specs this phone has to offer especially since the price is way cheaper than other models like the s3. I know that many people complain about the screen resolution and all but yesterday i went to the store and took a look at several apps, turns our it wasnt so bad as how people say it.
My only concern is the battery? is the battery life good and how often do you need to charge it and what if we just activate 1 sim card will it save more battery? (only people who have this phone answer please) Thanks :)

Hey guys,Even if you are new to the smartphone segment and want to buy a new phone,Dont't buy this one..
First thing I want to ask is how everyone was able to review even without using it.
I am not saying it is a bad phone but please be cautious before buying this phone and read the below facts about this phone that I know which not even Samsung is not saying it.
Display: WVGA resolution. This is the same resolution as on Galaxy S2. But this phone has 5 inches versus 4.3 on S2.
Due to same resolution on large screen the display wont be sharp. Quality will be definitely less compared to 2 year old S2.
This is not Super AMOLED. This phone has just LCD display. Quality of LCD display will be very bad. Under sunlight Super AMOLED is not good but good in indoor usage.
LCD will be worse in both sunlight and indoor usage.
Processor: All Samsung is saying this phone has 1.2 Ghz dual core. In S2 it has its own popular exynos processor.
Grand has broadcomm processor. This is probably the first phone with this processor. I have never seen a phone with broadcomm processor. I am not saying its bad but we don't know until its reviewed.
The reason for using that processor must be cheap price. Otherwise why would Samsung use other companies processor instead of using its own processor.
Two most important specs of any phone is processor and display. These two things are bad compared to 2 year old galaxy s2.
The only reason this phone got attention of people is because of its screen size (5 inches).
So be careful and think a lot before buying.
I am going to rate this phone 2 stars because Samsung is hiding the facts about display and processor.

the battery drains like crazy even if the native power saver mode is enabled. so here is a solution for battery saving. forget juice defender and install 2x battery from google play. it really boosts the battery 2 times.

rooting process is so simple it will take only 2 or 3 minutes.
first of all you need to download odin 3 and CWM and SU update these three files u will need.
you can download these three files from here(http://techbii.com/root-samsung-galaxy-grand-duos-gt-i9082-with-cwm-installation-2/)
Here we go. To proceed, you have to download 3 important files now.
1. Download ADB driver file from above site
2. Download Recovery from above site
3. Download latest Odin 3 from above site
Fine. Assuming you’ve successfully downloaded those 3 files. Keep it in the desktop itself for faster access.
It’s time to enter into recovery mode. You may do the following procedure.
Turn off your device and go to odin
mode [ Vol down + power + home
button (simultaneously) ]. Release it when you see the logo. Now Press vol up to confirm.
Got it right? Connect your phone to PC via PC mode. Now open Odin3 3.04 that you have downloaded.
Install ADB drivers and you might be in the Odin software now.
* Make sure the COM : xx (xx is usb
port number it can be any number.)
*Extract the CWM-touch_i9082_
chotu.tar.zip !
*Now select PDA and browse to where you have extracted CWM touch_i9082_chotu.tar.md5 and
select it.
You may look at this screen shot to confirm
Click Start. Done, you’ve installed CWM Recovery in your Samsung Galaxy Grand without any glitch.
after this u need to copy UPDATE-SuperSU- v1.05.zip file in to your sd card( do not put in internal card put in external sd card)
1. Switch your phone into Recovery mode by pressing home button + power button + volume down simultaneously.
2. Choose “Install ZIP from SD” by navigating with the volume up and down keys.
3. Scroll down and select UPDATE-SuperSU- v1.05.zip
after few second your will be restart and your phone will be rooted safely.

Hello everyone, i have recently sold my Canvas HD and bought Samsung Galaxy Grand because of poor sound quality. The screen is 5'' TFT with WVGA resolution and 196 pixel density, resulting in above average color production. Actually, i liked the display on my Canvas HD. Color looks over saturated and viewing angles aren't good in this phone. The lack of a gorilla glass protection leaves Samsung Galaxy Grand vulnerable to scratches. The body being made of plastic feels very sticky and getting finger prints all over the phone but this issue can be solved by placing a flip cover and a screen guard. The build quality can't be called very good but it's fine. The sound quality is decent, nothing amazing. The camera takes nice pictures and videos in daylight but in night, the pictures taken from Galaxy Grand looked below average. Now comes to the user interface. It's very easy to use and user friendly, but it doesn't look as good as HTC Sense UI. The processor handles the UI smoothly but when several apps are running it becomes lagging. The default browser which is Google Chrome doesn't support flash. Games that aren't graphics intensive run smoothly but graphics intensive games don't run as flawlessly as i expected. On 2G, the browsing is very slow which i didn't like. On my Canvas HD the browsing on 2G was fast, at least faster than this phone. On Wi-fi and 3G, Internet is fast. Galaxy Grand has 8GB memory on which only 4GB is available to users. Multi Window works fine. The battery is of 2100mAh which gives an average battery backup of 6 hours on heavy usage which is just shame for a phone with a battery of 2100mAh. When playing games like Temple Run Oz for 30 minutes or more, i felt warm holding this phone. Later on i checked the temperature, it was around 43 °C. The pros and cons of Galaxy Grand are the following: Pros: 1. The phone looks like Galaxy S3. 2. 8 MP camera takes decent pictures in daylight. 3. There's Multi Window in this phone. 4. The Samsung label on this phone. Cons: 1. Display is 5'', yet no HD. The WVGA resolution and 196 pixel density makes pictures look over saturated and viewing angles aren't good. 3. Battery backup isn't up to the mark. 4. Even though Grand has 1GB RAM, it's slow. 4. Processor and GPU very outdated and not capable of playing some HD games in 40 or above fps. 5. Due to plastic made, this phone doesn't look premium and certainly feel premium in hands, it's a finger prints magnet. 6. This phone isn't getting Key Lime Pie. 7.Internal memory gets filled soon after you download three or four games that are over 1GB. 8. Auto brightness doesn't work as expected and the screen isn't good enough to be viewed clearly in sunlight. 9. A bit over priced. If you are okay with all the cons then you should buy this phone. It can't be called perfect but it's nice. You can also look at Micromax A116 Canvas HD, Karbonn Titanium S5 and Samsung Galaxy Win. Hope my review was helpful. (=

Dear All,
I have been using Grand Duos since 2 months and I would like to request not to buy this product because of following reason.
1.Problem in Memory Card
2. The set auto off/ Hanged/ Paused
I have to do switch off and On more than 20 times a day. When apply for factory reset also it did not work
3. Frontal Display is not of quality
4.Back flip cover is easily scratchable
If you wish dual in smart phone then it might be one reason to buy it
