It's a peice of shit phone. Mine won't even let me read my emails or delete them. I know it needs to update, but I've gotten rid of almost all my apps. Never again will I ever waste money on this crap.
The memory is not good when you buy the phone most of it already used up by the existing applications so why say that the phone has 8 gig. I was very dissapointed by that

Android go (custom rom) will bring this phone back to life. Great phone back in early 2015. Obviously things have changed quickly in the smartphone market today.

If you consider buying this phone be aware that you only have just barely enough room to fit a few several apps and maybe 2 medium sized games before you're out of space and updates are impossible. The front-facing camera for some reason on my grand prime enlarges my face and distorts it and I never touched the camera options. If you are also impatient... you'll want to smash this phone against the wall because of how incredibly slow it operates with just basic functions as opening contacts, snapchat, instagram, web browsers... anything you open it will freeze for about 10+ seconds or more... I cannot open any app without having to wait for it to respond after freezing as soon as I open an app.
Pros - Cheap
Cons - Everything. Use it just as a basic phone and don't install too much because you're gonna need it for updates.
Most shitty phone I ever had. I cant even use "my day" in Instragram. f**king slowest phone! so dumb!! trash!!
I feel like this is the best Samsung phone, if you want the most basic smartphone ever.
Now I've had mine from over 2 years now, and I love it, but I've been wanting to upgrade for a while now.
It serves the basic purposes of a phone, calls, texting, and can handle quite a few social media apps, WhatsApp , Facebook, Instagram, and all that. However only 8 gb of storage, which in reality you only have like 4 gb due to system taking up so much space, is not enough to have lots of apps and games.
Also the camera is good enough quality that if you need to take a picture or a video to send or to post, it'll do the job well enough.
In all, it's a good phone, not the best , but if you're desperate for a brand name smartphone at a low price, it's definitely one of the better ones.
Bought phone on contract about August/September 2016 since when I have nothing but problems. Keeps on telling me I'm short of storage space but cannot see why. Taken it back to MTN on numerous occasions but they are unable to see what the problem is. Sold me a memory card which is supposed to be able to store a lot but the problem persists. I am very frustrated and just wish it was time for renewal of the contract so that I can go back to Nokia which has never given me problems
