tell me frnds wheather galaxy grand prime is better than galaxy prime plz tell me both mobile feature????
Anonymous, 27 Apr 2015How is the battery life on prime? Can you give me a solid answer? Like if I browse internet a ... morebattery life of prime is one of the best in class.
Good battery and good cameras are its pros.
battery is good because of two main reasons -
1) Its 2600 mah which is quite good as per the price
2) It has comparatively less features. for eg moto g has a HD screen which looks better than prime but eats up more battery. Also moto g has dual front speakers which are very loud, while prime has mono speaker and sound is hardly audible in noisy areas. So this way also some shortcomings of prime itself become its plus point in terms of battery.
So I'll say if you are not concerned about screen quality that much. However screen of prime is not bad but definitely looks a bit washed out in front of other similar range devices. And if you dont listen to songs on phone's speaker then prime here also adds a good point for you.
I am saying again and again that this all is game of requirements. All phones are smart but are you smart enough to choose them as per your requirement..???
[deleted post]Now see as i said. Guys are disappointed only because some times devices dont meet their requrements. Now at this price no
Phone gives apple smooth performance. Specially android is a very heavy OS. So it needs better processor than windows or any other OS for similar performance. Or there's another way to have a stock interface. Stock interface of android is fastest and as much lag free as is possible bcoz it is the purest interface which is made by google itself. All other companies give their own touch of looks which makes them heavy. Now touchwiz and htc sense are heavy interfaces where as sony's interface is comparitively lighter. Motorola is the only co.pany that gives stock version of android that too because of their good relations with google.
mike, 27 Apr 2015What are the better phones u suggest in the same price range??See there's nothing better or worse. All such comments are written by guys who jst try to paste their own choice on other's mind.
Its all about your requirements. If a phone meets your requirements then its good for u and if it doesn't its bad. As simple as that.
So think of your priorities first.
I'll give you example of my own-
I wanted a handy phone with good screen quality and i was looking for lag free or delays free performance.
Camera was not my priority as i am a amature photographer and i already have a semi SLR so an average camera for me was more than enough. Obviously everyone wants a better battery and good sound quality. Also i wanted pen drive support because it helps a lot in everyday usage like - downloading forms or applications anywhere and have a print anywhere in any shop around even if net is not available. Also pen drive is useful in many other ways like clicked pics and videos can b played directly on tv without finding cables, laptop, etc. Simply plug a pen drive to phone, transfer data and then plug it into tv, thats it. So these were my priorities. And moto g went perfect on these. In fact it supports gamepads as well. Its jst an additional feature to boast but not actually used often.
If you choose your device keeping your priorities in mind you wont be disappointed at all. Even shortcomings of phone dont look like its shortcomings anymore. Like prime has a better battery for sure. But it did not serves my other requirements so whats the use of battery.
Also prime has a better camera, specially the front one. But again as i said it was also not a priority for me.
In short you have to find perfect balance for ur requirements bcoz no phone is perfect or better than other one in everything.
In my opinion look for these -
Moto g 2nd gen
Htc 620 g

This cell phone is amazing.. Doesn't matter if it is not having an hd screen.. its screen resolution is quite good.. if u r a crazy of games then this device offers u a lot of games which can be run smoothly without any lag.. its really awesome and it's both front and back cameras are brillian. Battery timing is good.. it is thin and in grey colour looks awesom..
ebi, 27 Apr 2015go to : task manager / ram / clean memory ;-)There is no task manager in grand prime
Tanii, 27 Apr 2015Guys go for moto g 2 2nd gen, that's awesome having stock android.I've used 3 of them-
prime (of a friend)
and I'll give a very honest comparison of the three being unbiased of the companies.
Three of them are good but I'll say each of them have +ves and negatives over one another.
Moto g is a very good performer. No lags at all, pulls everything very smooth. Also feature list is good, screen is good (294 ppi) So I personally like it the best just because of performance and stock version of android which is very quick. But it also has its drawbacks like - battery is average, At low signal areas it loses all the signal. Feature list is good like - OTG support, Gaming pad support, Gyroscope, HD screen, Very quick on updates (presently running lollipop) but somewhere we have to compromise and its battery. Its not actually bad and is obviously better than indo chinese brands like - micromax, lava and even better than most phones of HTC. But If battery is major priority then prime is better in this case. However Prime lacks a no. of features and one which is a HD screen. Less pixel count, low resolution screen means more is the battery life.
Grand 2 is good enough but high end gaming shows frame drops. Phone has a good camera (somewhat better than moto g), although disappointment is that it does not supports pen drive. Screen is better than Prime (280 ppi against 220 ppi of prime). Pixels are not visible in normal usage but frame drops in high end games are very frequent. Also the device is quite old. Lucky are those people who bought it in right time and enjoyed it but I seriously feel that now there are better phones available at same price, however Grand 2 still has so much to fight but lack of a few features make me think that soon samsung will be looking to launch a newer version of this device. So to stick with older one now wont be a very good idea. Also if someone wants most of the features which are missed in prime and at the same time don't want to shift from samsung to any other brand then still grand 2 is a better option.
Prime has very good battery life but on acc. of lack of a no. of features. Check this shortcoming list- If anyone is OK with all these missing features then this phone is surprisingly good.
No HD Screen (220 ppi, disappointing as per the price)
No OTG support (which means no pen drive can be connected)
No ambient light sensor (Not a big issue)
No gyroscope (hardly use this feature)
No keypad lights (shows price cut)
Very low quality speaker (disappointing)
Very late updates
But the goods are -
A very superior front camera as compared with moto g.
Better battery life.
Hope this helps.
queries are welcomed.
When I tried to install some apps, it doesn't automatically show my app. It needs to restart before it will show. And when I uninstall some apps, I need to restart also to remove from the list of my apps :(
