Samsung has revealed that the Galaxy Home smart speaker will go on sale sometime by April. This information was conveyed by co-CEO DJ Koh following the Galaxy S10 launch event yesterday.
The Galaxy Home speaker was announced alongside the Galaxy Note 9 back in August. Although no release date or pricing was announced back then, no one really thought it would take this long for it to hit the shelves.
Now, six months after the announcement, Samsung is still mum about the exact launch date for the smart home speaker. This could very well have to do with Bixby, the AI assistant powering the speaker, not being up to snuff but that's just speculation on my part.
The Galaxy Home speaker will compete against the Apple HomePod, Amazon Echo and Google Home when it releases some time in the next two months.
