It's at the same place where your sim card is.
Just open the case and you will see there is a slot in top of your sim card.
You will need to remove your battery before you put it in.

Once you make the choice, do a REBOOT in order to take effect.
If you are referring to screen is blank while talking, it is not lock.
The sensor will light on when you move away from the phone.
Most of the sensor is in front, on top.
Alternately, touch & let go on the Power button.

I just wanted to ask am i only guy who has ram problems with this phone ? First i thought 500mb is not enought but all my friend had phones with same ram but much better performance than me, when i got phone it had 350-450 of 500 ram, i tried to get it on fabric options same thing... messenger chat heads dont work, games crashed, itd..
I have received instructions from internet via my daughter how to deactivate the auto screen lock but the settings they give are not all the same as on my phone. Its more compatible to the bigger Samsung J1 and not the mini. As you would know they differ.
So let me try again. When I phone someone a picture of a padlock comes on the screen to show
that it has locked. To stop the conversation or to be able to get to the keypad to select a number option when needed with answering machines, I have to tap on the "padlock" twice before ending the call or to get to the keypad. If I'm not quick enough to tap on the keypad it locks again and I have to tap twice again ...... It is other than the swipe unlock of the screen and also not the time you can select for the phone to lock("switch off").

But can you explain a little bit more in detail.?
i don't guaranteed if i'll be of any help though. hahah.
I've asked and tried many options but still cannot manage to switch off the auto lock on the Samsung Galaxy J1 mini while talking. It becomes a problem when you need to select a number option while making a call. You have to tap twice on the padlock picture and then select the keypad. Often it locks before I could manage to select the keypad and then a number.

Constantly freezing on regular bases and having to restart or disconnect battery too reset. Unbelievably most pathetic and worst brand of all time with worst in every field.
