Why does my Samsung Galaxy J1 Mini NOT notify me when I have a Whatsapp or Facebook notification? I have to open Whatsapp and FB for notifications to come through. I only get notifications for sms's.

Although the cameras may not be the best, the battery life is not great and the speaker sounds kinda low.... this phone may be the best deal i've ever had! Recently bought it for about USD $45 brand new at a carrier, the phone is really responsive while multitasking and the screen looks ok for the price, the appearance its really nice and i really had low expectations BUT so far so good!
