Jizzi, 08 Jan 2019Does this j2 upgrade to marsmallow and furtherI don't think Samsung will provide any update to this mobile as it is Samsung's entry level android mobile.
but you will get some bug fix update and security update as I got a update of about 80 MB on 5th January in this phone.
I am using this mobile since last 3 years and it is providing me very good and reliable service.
so, don't wait for any further android update.
go for any other devices if you want new Android version.

only 4 GB memory is free in internal storage.
but you can use memory card for more storage.
I use 16 GB SanDisk memory card with my J2 2015.
I have clash of clans, pokemon go, free fire game installed on my mobile.
still 3 GB memory is free in the internal storage.
using this phone since last 3 years.

but I suggest you not to use any custom rom as the payment applications will not work after you upgrade any custom rom.

Bumblebee, 23 Dec 2018What is the cost of your new battery? Is that original and giving same backup as stock battery?I went to 3 Samsung service centre for the battery.
the first one is very near to my home but asked Rs. 1750.
The next shop I went asked Rs. 1500.
The last service centre I visited asked Rs. 1300 and after some negotiations I got the original battery at Rs. 1200.
you can visit the service centre nearest your home but do visit some more service centre.
cause by this way you can save some money.
and if you want to buy duplicate batteries then you can bought them from Rs. 400 to 800.
But I would suggest you to buy the original.
I bought the original battery and it is providing me the same back up as it used to give when the mobile was new.

My first smartphone and second Samsung device. It's a good phone with almost no bloatware. Now I'm lacking ram and some memory. Wish it had 2gb ram and 8gb memory. Update is not coming for this model and not necessary.
Still using and I like it a lot.

and of they give they should give the latest android 8 or 9 lite/go version for this phone as it has only 1 GB ram inside it.

This phone need to upgrade version 6.0. Need to improve. When I rotate and play game like gta sa, touch on the screen are not balance. Its like fighting each other. I already change lcd recently about 2 years ago. Sensor need to improve. Please UPDATE THIS VERSION.

I am using this phone for about 2 years and 8 months.
I use this phone too much for gaming.
I played the games like clash of clans, pokemon go, clash royale, gta vc, gta sa, 8 ball pool etc.
I also give a try to play pubg and pubg lite but sadly pubg says my device is not listed and pubg lite says server problem.
that's the reason I can't play those games on the phone.
but I play free fire apk which is a lookalike game of pubg.
along with gaming I also watch offline movies, YouTube videos and some TV programmes on this mobile.
the phone almost 80 percent time gave very good feedback to me.
As I am using this phone for heavy usage my mobile battery dies very fast (after 2 years).
now I changed the battery and enjoying every thing like I was enjoying before.

I have two samsung J2's 2015 and 2017....both have VOLTE 4g. So who doesnt have ...just update your software to the latest update. This is a great multimedia device and does everything !

Don't know about the 4G availability of this phone in other countries.

One of the 'J2' comes with LTE and the other does not. I think the 2015 model doesn't come with LTE and the 2016 comes with it. I don't know any model specific numbers, even though i own both.
