hey frnds, i am a grand prime user. i want to buy a j2. but here i see many reviews about network problem. i think it is not a big problem. you can solve this by change your network setting. same thing happend with my grand prime. the samsung seller representative advised me, - when i don't need 3g/4g then select network mode in 'GSM only'. only when you need 3g/4g only then select 'Auto connect'. otherwise you should select all time in 'GSM only' mode. you should also select the 'network operator automatically'. after change into this setting i don't found any problem. you can try this. yet if it is not solved, then it is a serious problem. i belive samsung will must fix the problem. i wait for your reviews. thnk u frnds.

Hi dear i m using j2 since 30sep, i was facing the same network issue bt after update of 28 mb which was realese on 4/10 my fon is working fine. After update i travelled around 250 km in a train. Both my sim network idea n airtel woeking fine n using indea wcdma/gsm mode in idea coz 3G use. I noticed that after update both networks getting strong coverage of network bar. Jst updated ur fon n enjoy.

Gud news for all J2 users, network issue has been fix after 28 mb of update on dated 4/10/15, nw my j2 working fine ...thanx samsung team

I am using idea 2g and bsnl 2g as service provider.
Often network shows emergency calls only in which i neither receive call nor can make call, on LTE/WCDMA/GSM mode and in GSM only mode also.
After that untill i restart my phone network doesn't come.
This problem is very frequent and i had restarted my phone even 12 times a day.

if u r using 4g then only put it on lte mode...

I bought a Samsung Galaxy J2 last week and the incoming call had issues. I call from one number to J2 and it goes fine and when I call from the same number to J2 again, it doesn't work. It told me that the phone was switched off. I don't have internet package in my number.
I checked the Network mode and changed it from LTE/CDMA/GSM to GSM Only. That fixed the problem. Does this mean my phone is working fine and I need to change to LTE/CDMA/GSM when I add internet pack to my number?
Please advise

IT's Very confusion for me by seeing configuration it's best to buy but when i see the review it's very bad ...

Yes, I had a range issue, but software update of mb solved my problem.
Go to settings->Ablout phone->Click on Software update
Your phone may need wifi connection if wifi is selected in the settings
