After every software update you should do a factory reset so that it learns the new usage pattern of the update. Otherwise it may lead to use false data calculations of the previous update. As a result the heating problem and battery draining issues arises. I have dine factory reset after update (YOU NEED TO TAKE BACKUP OF THE FILES TO SD CARD) and the update is really good as there is performance improvement and the battery life has improved.
