AnonD-674081, 02 Jun 2017It IS usable, doesn't have 2gb's of ram tho, only 1,5. Daily performance is, as stated usable.... morea lot of store points out to me "If you can spend more or save a bit more, get J5 instead."
J1~3 is a "smartphone", not a good one but it is a "Android Smartphone". "Samsung" android smartphone nonetheless.
It's for people who just need a smartphone (Samsung branded~!) but didn't care much about how it perform as long as it can perform.
I purchased a Samsung Galaxy J3 one month ago. Two days ago the screen went black. Eventually we got it to switch on again, but the screen was "inky". I returned it to Office Works who told me this could only happen by being dropped. It has never been dropped. Samsung also refused to do anything. Upon looking on line I see that this has been a constant issue with Samsung, even cracking when in a person's pocket, for which they continue to blame the purchaser. I've seen phones dropped, get a crack, and still keep working. Never again. Sad,they can continue to sell faulty products to people who can ill afford to be ripped off.
It is at really good phone because it is fast and you can do everything on it and I like all of the colours they do
It IS usable, doesn't have 2gb's of ram tho, only 1,5. Daily performance is, as stated usable. Not gonna wow you definitely, not worth 120$. Battery lasts a whole day tho
What is the output power? I guess not 2W. With J320FN when I drive a car through the city (Zagreb) have interference. While with the old phones work without interference. The network is 219 01
Today added 5.1.1 lollipop or 6.0 marshmallow it's that mean it is upgradable to 6.0?
n, 24 May 2017When will the phone be upgraded to 6.0 Never, but it's working on lineage os, see xda!

Anonymous, 24 May 2017Whatever version of Android your phone came with, that's probably what you're stuck with. This... moreMy j3(2016) is with lollipop 5.1 but when I buy it in December 2016 i have recived 2 security patchs - one in February and one on 25 may. But no android update.

Whatever version of Android your phone came with, that's probably what you're stuck with. This is a low-end phone, and Samsung often doesn't give them as much attention as their flagship devices.
Samsung claims that they are providing quarterly security patches, but sometimes they fail to deliver on that schedule. (http://security.samsungmobile.com/introsm.html)
Personally, my J3 (2016) shipped with Marshmallow, but it hasn't seen a security patch since January 1.
Pattypatty, 09 May 2017Worst phone I've ever had,got mine and husbands in December 16,not even a week later we were n... moreyou seem ignorant just because of a phone. The phone is man made please bare that in mind. You might find that they change to a different model but that's because you paid for that model not another one. if you wanted another one then you would pay for another one. and plus if you had for a month or two or more than 15 days its not consider new its considered use so a different new phone model would not be an option on a business view it would be loss for the company. You cant always have things the way you want it atleast appreciate that they replaced it
Anonymous, 02 May 2017Why does the notification beep continue until you look at the message? Annoying Consider installing Android Messages app (official Google SMS client that comes by default in many devices). Set it as your default SMS app and disable Samsung's. Google's doesn't have such problem, plus you'll probably find it faster and the option to reply to messages without opening it is really good as well.
