Does anyone know when the J3 2017 will be out?
Why is it taking Samsung so long?
I am looking Nougat based phone, as it can run two apps side by side.
Are there any alternatives to this phone (which as removable battery), around 5" of less and a reasonable CPU and camera and memory.

I just helped a friend activate her ATT 16GB version of this J3 (2016) phone. I thought we'd be able to just swap her SIM from her old S4 because I looked up the specs to be both Micro SIM cards, but her J3 ended up having a Nano SIM slot. It's good that AT&T sent a new nano SIM with the new phone anyway, but it could've been a headache without it!

A3 2016 and 2017 will get nougat
J3 2016 marshmallow and and nougat (possibly)
Use Samsung smart switch to check for updates if they do not show up normally

lyn, 11 Mar 2017Bought mine in December. So far it has frozen solid 3 times. Samsung say there is no problem b... morereturn your phone back to square 1 and re-install the basic apps as things run in the background that you cannot control...not the phones fault ... apps are the buggers !!

S M Abir, 07 Mar 2017Can I use it as tv remote? Bought mine in December. So far it has frozen solid 3 times. Samsung say there is no problem because by the time they look at it it has unfrozen. They won't replace but it's no use to me.
