Unyora, 25 Oct 2017Ah ganun ba :( I think there's no other choice hehehe. Maybe I should go visit samsung custome... moreHey Unyora -
Per link from SamMobile on J700P, ( https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-j7/SM-J700P/ ), and I see that this particular phone is primarily CDMA and LTE. The GSM is only @ 2G - a 10year old tech. Unless you can find a carrier that can support CDMA / LTE, then it wud be useless to bring over der @ PH.

AnonD-700651, 26 Oct 2017How bout u do that? Why me? *You* are the one stating that J700Ms won't get the Nougat update.
Maybe you don't have a reliable source to support your statement.
This update is horrible. I hate the new navigation. Also it has basically killed my phone. I can charge my phone for 8 hours and it only charges up 9% more. And I have a new charger cord. Phone ran super slow so I restarted it, then when it turned back on I was forced to do a factory reset which lost all my pictures, apps, login id's. Basically everything. I DO NOT RECOMMEND doing this to your phone

I bought my J700M (J7 2015) from a big carrier (Movistar from Telefonica which operates in Spain and South America) and got their customized Marshmallow update and further updates from them as well.
Please point to the source that states that T-Mobile is the only carrier that will push the (their customized?) Nougat update to their J700Ts.
Do you know any source about Sprint and their J700Ps being updated to Nougat?
AnonD-700651, 25 Oct 2017J700M did not and will not recieve the Nougat update
It's clearly true that J700M has not received Nougat so far.
Please point to the source that states it won't in the future.

Is androidinfotech.com a reliable source?
If it is, then we can trust the post linked below, dated 2017-10-10, which says the following J7 2015 models will get Nougat:
- SM-J700F International
- SM-J7008 China
- SM-J700P Sprint USA
- SM-J700T T-mobile USA and all other Models
I have the J700M model (Peru, South America). Fingers crossed.

I do hope the other J7 2015 variants get this Nougat 7.1.1 update ... as it is a leap above older OS versions - makes this phone faster, and nicer to run and use. Now I carry this along with my S7 edge(usa version) as it's lighter and battery seems to last longer than S7.
